Dawn falls out of bed. Again. Groaning, she pushes off the floor and trudges over to her trunk, sitting open at the foot of her cot. She tugs on a pair of black running shorts and a white t-shirt, and jogs out the door. Morning runs always woke her up in California, but for some reason something is missing here. Maybe it's the cold air. It's usually not cold inside the barrier of the camp, but sometimes a wave of cold hits the girl with such ferocity that it's all she can do not to cry out at the frigid air. It's not real though. It's never real.
Passing the Mess Hall, she sees a few campers inside eating breakfast, the fire for offerings burning cheerfully as always. She continues to run, past the Infirmary and into the forest.

Two black wolves where running around and playing around with each other. One had silver markings and a blue collar and the other had blue markings with a silver collar.

"Hiya!" I yelled as I furiously sliced the heads of dummies. One fell at my feet. I felt like I could do this forever and never stop...

"Hey guys!" she calls, recognizing all three of her friends, but does not slow. She weaves through trees, running deeper into the forest. At the border, she stops, looking out into the world.

I didn't hear her. There was a roaring in my ears. All I could see was the dummies, and how they fell apart after I killed them. My eyes flashed yellow. That's right. A voice said in my head. You'll be the best warrior with my training. And then those idiots like Crystal won't dare to annoy you anymore. I slashed open more dummies. Who are you? I thought back. I am many different things. I am your guide in the dark. I am your trainer for battle. I am your only friend when things get hard. I smiled. My eyes were yellow now. I heard a different voice in my head. Summer, stop! Don't listen to him! "Father..." I breathed. The other voice cut Zeus off. Silence! I will teach her to be the greatest fighter! And she will rule the world! My father responded angrily. You will not use my daughter! Enough! I thought. Father, it is great that you care, but I think I can handle this on my own. The other voiced cooed. Yes, you see? Now I am the stronger one over here. Now, be gone! My father's voice started to say something, but I heard a poof and my father disappeared from my 'mind conversation.' Now what were you saying? I thought to the other voice.

Crystal appeared out of nowhere, having been watching Summer the whole time. "Hello." She said smoothly, her sword glinting in the sunshine, A ray bounced off the edge and the way the blood coated over it shined sickingly would make any normal person want to gag and puke.

I didn't notice Crystal. Crystal's right there. You should kill her right now. The other voice urged. No, I can't. Crystal's my friend. The other voice said. Remember all the times she annoyed you? Just wound her, at least. Okay, now I was getting confused. No! I said, Crystal's my friend! The voice started to say something, but bit it back. As you wish...master. I smiled. Thank you. The voice started. But master- I interrupted. Be gone, now. The voice disappeared from my mind and my eyes turned to normal.

Crystal looked at Summer quizically, then shook it off. "What's goin' on?" She asked, twirling her sword so the most bloody side was facing the dirt.

"You looked...distracted." She finally said, after thinking about Summer a couple of minutes ago. "And earlier you were talking to youself."

She steps out of the camp, as if in a trance. Monsters immediately begin to move toward her, but she does not seem to notice. All she does is move forward, step by step. Her eyes take on a glassy sheen, then close entirely. A Sphinx lunges at her, clawing open a deep gash down her side. The girl walks on, unseeing, unknowing, unheeding.

When Dawn had said hi to them the boys both nodded there heads to her. Kuro stopped messing around with Kiyo and looked at Summer and Crystal for a few minutes before smiling blood, fresh blood. He darted to where Dawn was running and saw the Sphinx. Kiyo was following him the whole time. He got in a fighting position and started running toward the Sphinx. Kuro did the same but both past the creature. Kiyo stopped and attacked the Sphinx and clamped on to its neck, sending silver fire around the creature and into it, thanks to his long K9's he was able to brake through the skin. Kuro kept on running and quickly cought up to Dawn.
'Dawn. Your hurt. Stop for a moment and let me heal you.' Kuro thought to her as he jogged next to her.

She does not seem to hear the voice in her head, or notice Kuro beside her. She walks onward, blood dripping steadily down from her side. Though her eyes remain closed, her step does not falter.

'Dawn. Listen to me please. Stop.' Kuro thought to her again before shifting into his normal form. "Dawn..." He said looking at her worriedly.

She does not stop, though a flicker of recognition open her eyes. She looks at him out of the corner of her eye as if to say, 'I wish I could'. Her gaze, staring straight ahead, is full of pain, yet slightly empty, as if she is not completely there.

She keeps walking forward, her small frame shaking as she tries to shake off whatever holds her in a trance. She fails. Miserably.

"Silence, fool." The words fly from nowhere, Dawn's mouth never moving. The girl looks at her friend with eyes that seem to say, 'I'm sorry'. Light flashes in the sky, blindingly bright, and she is gone.
