It's not normal that you would see a teen guy walking up a strawberry field. Especially a dark haired kid that had his face mostly hidden by the hood he was wearing. Especially with a sword in his sheathe strapped behind his back and whistling a tune. Colton gazed at his surroundings, a dangerous and sly smile spread along his face. His shocking blue eyes glinting in experience.
The empousa appeared very suddenly. With ease, Phantom was slid out of its sheathe. The stygian iron blade droven easily, eagerly, into the monster. The sword had claimed yet another victim. Two hellhounds charged up after it. Colton stepped back, the black blade swinging in a flashing arc. One hellhound turned to dust. He moved away to void it, but the dog hit some type of invisible barrier with a yelp. This surprised Colton. He stabbed the monster and it was no more.
Well, how rare! Looks like I got a safe resting spot. Colton grinned to himself. He looked around before sliding off his sword and setting it to the side. He spread himself out at the top of the hill. He plucked a strawberry and munched on it, staring up at the clouds for a long while.
He had been wandering like this for a long time, so he was used to being attacked. In fact, he enjoyed fighting and accepted the fact of death. It was probably going to be the first and last time he saw his father. Through death, that is. Colton was nothing like a son of Thanatos. There were only two things that made him fit under the category. He always reacted with a smile of a predator's, like a snake sneering at a mouse. That and the fact that he could see ghosts. the lost souls that Thanatos had yet to claim only wandered around for a while before disappearing. Colton waved one away just as it appeared next to him like it was just an annoying fly. So then the restless spirit looked annoyed and returned to the underworld.
So, what should be my plan for today I wonder? Colton murmered to himself. His eyes fixed on the wandering clouds. Just wandering, floating, without a goal. Just like him.

Willow had been to the strawberry fields at least three times. Or two. Or was it four? Whatever. Willow's amnesia was still faintly working on her. It was actually quite annoying when she tried to remember numbers and mortals that she knew. She was used to Draco following her constantly, but her playful Hellhound was dead. It was sad, but it made Willow's resistance to the darkness stronger. She spotted someone killing a bunch of monsters that were appearing out of nowhere, so naturally, Willow walked over to him.
"Sup, random person." She mumbled. But it was a loud mumble. So she was just talking....Whatever.

Colton heard footsteps over the grass. He stayed in his layed out position in the grass, sensing to no intent to harm from the person. His blue eyes were still fixtated on the clouds as he replied, "The clouds."
It was a joke. He smiled good naturedly, even though his glinting eyes said otherwise about his mood. "I'm just relaxing here. Hope I'm not tresspassing?"
Well, he didn't actually care if he was tresspassing or not. It was still polite to ask, though. He glanced over at Willow for the first time, taking her in. Just a random girl. Or maybe she was more than that. He didn't care as long as she wasn't a threat of any kind. If she was a threat, his sword was right beside him. Colton wondered if she knew about this barrier that blocked the monsters, or if she had seen him fighting those monsters. If she had, she definately wasn't mortal to react this nonchalantly.

"Clouds are cool. But I prefer hanging around a battlefield." She smiled, kneeling down, "Why would I think you were trespassing?" Willow looked at her Dracon tooth and grinned, exposing a vampire-like tooth structure. "What brings you to the place that people die?" She eyed Colton, who was laying down. Odd boy. Not as odd as her! Some grass faintly ruffled in the breeze, and her feahtery hair swished and swashed.

"Just making sure this wasn't something like private property." Colton sighed as he sat up, propping himself upright on a hand. He looked over at Willow who was bending down next to him.
"Did you say a place where people die? Colton asked the dark haired girl with a fake nervous tone. He wasn't really nervous, but now he had confirmed the fact that this girl wasn't mortal.
"You like battelfields? They're kind of scary." Another lie from him. It was where he felt closest to his father who was taking the dead souls away from the battle. "So...care to tell me exactly where I am or who you are?"

"Definately not private." She mumbled, staring off, before realizing he was still there. She smiled, and her eyes widened a bit when Colton replied to her second comment. Too many deaths were at hand, he would be useful against Gaea, "This is Camp Half Blood. People like you and I live here. At the moment we are in a little...war." Willow paused for a moment remembering Draco's painful death. "My name is Willow Rosenberg, and Hades is my father."

"Camp Half Blood?" Colton looked slightly surprised. "So you're a demigod then. How did you know I was one too?" Colton asked, a bit curious.
The mention of a war interested him. A war against the titan of the Earth. Gaea. How insane, such a war against the very Earth they stood on, did they stand a chance? Well, h needed to see this camp with his own eyes. Maybe they could stand a chance, who knew. He didn't know the full brunt of the situation after all.

"I don't...Know." Willow looked at Colton, "But what is your name?" She fiddled with her fingers, looking at a strawberry, and watching it suddenly wither. Willow didn't do good in this place. Too alive, "Lives have changed here." It was a random comment, mumuring it more to herself than to Colton, but it still came out.

"Colton, Colton White." Colton told her. He noticed the wilting strawberry. So she was a daughter of Hades. How nice. His father was a close worker for the Lord of the Underworld. Which reminded him to finish his introduction. "Son of Thanatos." His smile afterward contradicted the statement. Obviously he wasn't a normal kid. He was accustomed to fighting, and he loved it. He always had that predatorial aura around him. The kind attitude was just like a cover.

Colton. Interesting name. Wait-did he just say Thanatos? Willow's head snapped towards him, her white eyes turning black for a moment before slowly regaining the white glow. "That's nice." Willow grinned. She inspected him again. He did look like his father. Willow should've noticed it earlier. "Leave anyone at home? Some of us only came here ecause there was nothing left for us."

The way her eyes changed so suddenly gave Colton a sudden chill. Definately not normal, but who was he to judge? She seemed to take interest after he told her about his father.
"No home. I'm a rogue demigod." Colton answered her question. He had run away from the orphanage that held him. He had gotten his sword at eleven. It had appeared out of thin air, adressed to him from his father.

"A rogue, eh? Luckier than a few people I knew." She raised an eyebrow at her own statement and picked up the withered strawberry, "Has the darkness come to you I wonder?" Willow was always blabbering about the darkness, but it was there. Most people just blinked a few times and backed away slowly. It was her way of seeing if someone was polite or really knew what she meant. It was fun...

"Darkness, eh? Who knows? It depends on what you mean by that." Colton replied cheerfully as if the question was a normal one. He looked at the strawberry for a moment and it turned black in Willow's fingers, crumbling into a fine black powder that was carried away in the wind.

Willow smiled at the strawberry's doom. She was weird, but it was a pretty sight, watching it crumble away, "What are your powers?" Willow asked, her white eyes widening, "Because that was cool!"

"Oh, I don't have many..." Colton replied, preferring to keep that a secret. He waved away a lost soul. It floated around him annoyingly. Probably to Willow it would seem like he was trying to bat an annoying fly. But he could see paths that spirits took before they went to the underworld. It was more of a curse rather than a power. It was purely trouble. It didn't help him much. But he could pull a ghost's past and summon the spirit from the Underworld for information. That was possibly the most optimistic thing he could say about that. As for the trick with the strawberry, it took a lot of effort. He could age things to the point where they crumbled. Fast forward. But he usually had to touch the object and he could only do it once a day. Or do it more than once and faint...

"Okay." Willow sounded happy, but what was going on in this boy's head? Was he a cold blooded killer, like the last five doctors she met? Or was he a normal person who really did stumble here and just didn't want to say his powers. Whatever. She just wanted a new friend. "I have a power leakage at the moment. That's how I make a little profit, though. I transfer some of my...power, into things, making it a magical item. I've only done it twice though...Harder than it looks." Whay was Willow opening up? Stupid, girl! She cursed herself.

"Your powers?" Colton was a bit surprised that she was telling him about her own powers. But they did sound interesting.

"One of my more advanced powers....Is witchcraft. The others are just powers inheritted from my father." Willow looked at her hand, and mumbled a few wors under her breath. It turned into a talon, and then ack to a normal hand. Willow released her breath, "It's kinda hard. I think I'm losing it somehow."

"You're...losing it?" Colton asked. He watched her hand. These kind of things didn't faze him because he had pretty much seen every type of monster now. They always attacked him.

"Either the power or the control." Willow looked at him, tucking a loose strand of hair ehind one ear, "Does Camp Half Blood interest you? Or are you staying a rogue. Hint, choose the second one to avoid blood." Willow made a halfhearted peace sign into the air.
