Caroline blinked and stumbled back a few steps, clearly not expecting the hug. "Um, thanks," Caroline responded.
She noticed Cy getting up out of the corner of her eye and called out, "So, you will come, right?"

Oookay, we're going to have to move this into the alternate timeline. This was not supposed to happen until after the final battle.)
"I...guess so...." Cy sounded a bit bewhildered, as if he was having trouble distinguishing right from left. He was having a rebound, in other words. His powers drained quickest when he healed himself. It was the hardest thing to do. He sat down again, feeling slightly dizzy.

Caroline pulled back from Terra's hug and rushed over to stand over Cy. "You need some help getting up?" There was slight amusement in her voice.

"No...I think..." Cy managed to say just those three words before the world turned a dizzying black and faded from his view. Stupid rebound...

"No...I think..." Then Cy passed out. Totally contrasting his words. Caroline had to roll her eyes as she knelt next to him. "We should get him to the Infirmary now," Caroline suggested to Terra.

Terra blinked, surprised that he had fainted but not so surprised at the same time. His rebound struck suddenly. Like the one that had killed Ace...Terra didn't even want to think about it. She nodded in agreement with Caroline and grabbed her friend's arm, when some Apollo kids from nearby who had been watching stepped forward to take him to the infirmary. Terra hesitated, but she let them take him. She was confused, why Cy had been wounded and teleported them here in the first place?

Caroline stood up again to watch as the Apollo kids took him away. As he disappeared from sight, Caroline turned to look at Terra. "Now, can you explain?"

(We all thought about it and compared this test thread to the other ending we're planning...and this one will never happen. We don't really like it.)
Terra sat down in the grassy clearing. She took a deep breath to collect her thoughts. She knew Caroline would have a hard time believing her since she didn't even understand herself what had happened. "A while ago...I was talking to Cy. I promised I would give him a name. So I did. I left for a while, and remembered that I had to give him an update on new members. I went back, and he was on the floor. He was just...there. And wounded." Terra began to spoke in jerks. "I just raced over and he kept repeating "I have to get you out of here. I have to get you out of here." And he wouldn't say anything else. The next thing I knew, he transported us here...and that was it..."

After Terra was done, Caroline just stared at her. She wasn't sure if she could trust Terra, but that was all she had to work with. "Do you have a guess about why he was wounded?" Maybe they could figure it out from there.

"No, you saw it yourself, didn't you? It was a clean cut. Could have been dine with any weapon. He was just laying there on the floor and no one seemed to be around..." Terra let out a small sigh. She wondered who could have. There was no ne that held a grudge r anything...

"Yeah..." Caroline sighed in frustration. There was a huge number of possible suspects. "Well, has anything he's done seemed to annoy anyone? ...or anything?" Caroline added, remembering the monsters.

Terra shook her head. "He's too private for that. He barely speaks to anyone. They all fear him anyway. They're glad he doesn't speak to them. And besides, who would have been able to wound him and not get hurt themselves?" She pointed it out. It had been a horrible wound. If he got into a fight with someone, there would have been blood or monster dust around from the fight. And if someone was string enough to hurt him like that without getting wounded...was there anyone that strong?

After a moment of thought, Caroline suggested, "Well, why don't you just ask him? When he gets out of the Infirmary, I mean. Or you could visit him now."

"Yeah, I guess..." Terra sighed and stood up. She gave Caroline a grin. "And you know what, thanks. I really missed it here. I'm going to try to convince Cy to stay here because I don't want to ever leave again."

Caroline beamed. "You're welcome!" Great, Gaea was now one demigod weaker. Even if progress was slow, there was still hope that some of the demigods in Gaea's army would come back. Just think positive!
