"Maybe." she says doubtfully, pushing shakily to her feet. She coughs once, before dropping like a stone to the ground. She curls her knees to her chest, shivering slightly. Almost instantly, Shade is with her, licking on ear comfortingly. Shadow, not knowing what to do, skitters anxiously around them.

It's like she's not even there. She feels Shade's tongue on her ear, and hears Summer and Crystal's questions, but she can't answer. She tries, but can not move. Her eyes take on a glazed look.

"I'm here!" she tries to say. But not a sound comes out of her. Not even a twitch. Or a squeak.
Shade noses her away from the water, rolling her onto her side. He lays down beside her, his head resting on her shoulder. He doesn't know what's going on, but he knows Dawn will NOT be taken away from him.
