Crystal grinned like an idiot. "Yeah. It was suicide. Literally..."
I shivered. "Ugh. I think you, me, and now Ally are the only people who knew what happened to Jessica...Mom wasn't happy for looong time after that. You're lucky you're not dead, Crystal."
Said girl just laughed. "I've made plenty of people angry. Why not the goddess of love and beauty?"

I frowned for a moment, then realized what Ally was talking about. "You were the girl my mom would NOT stop ranting on about? Gods..."
Crystal looked between the two of us. "What?" She demanded.
I shook my head, "Nothing."
Crystal pouted, obviously hating not knowing something. "What?"

"Like Katie said, nothing." I told Crystal. Then, directed at Katie: "Aphrodite has STILL been trying to make me fall in love with the craziest...things...notice I said 'things' and not 'people'."
Witch appeared on my shoulder in a flash of black smoke in cat-form. "Hullo," She meowed, her gleaming red eyes surveying the scene before her, "did I miss anything generally interesting?"

I stared at the cat, trying to imagine such a small creature could become a terrifying griffin.
