Under my bedsheet, I had a faint yellow light shining over my spellbook Hecate-mom-had given me. "I know that spell, and that, that one I learned when I was two..."
I flipped through a couple of pages, only pausing if it had an interesting picture on one of them.
Under the directions for some spell for spontaneus combustion was a person in flames, one arm and leg burned off, their eyes open with horror and their mouth gaping in an open scream that no one would hear.

I jumped into the window, like I do most days now. "What's that..." I trailed off at the gruesome picture. "Well..."

I appeared in the corner as the moisture in the air condensed and formed me, though some water was left on the floor. "Shut up, Summer," I yawned, in a white spaghetti strap and grey sweats. "I could hear you from my cabin."

In exasperation I got out of bed and left my stuff there, crossing my arms over my chest. "Both of you shut up!" My black nightgown was crinkled and my hair a mess but I honestly didn't care.

I laughed. "Make me!" I dissolved into bright streaks of light, the appeared again next to Crystal. "Gosh, it makes me so dizzy when I do that."

I vanished in a cloud of water vapor, and appeared in a shower of glittering water droplets on the other side of Summer. "Gladly."
