I sat up on the floor of the cabin, and smiled. I was back. My arm slid across the wood, without a sound. My heart stopped. I banged my fist on the ground, but no sound. Still shaking with fear, I managed to stand up.
"H-Hello!" I said shakily. There was no sound. At least none that I could hear. What happened? This must have been Hades's condition.

I was walking past the Apollo cabin, when I saw her in the window. "Hey...ARI?!?" I pushed open the door so fast that it broke free of the hidges. "ARI!!!"

Cystal heard Summer screaming [doesn't she hear screaming a lot now?] and rushed into the Apollo Cabin. Her jaw almost literally hit the floor. "Ari?"

(Yes. Deaf people can talk, but they can't hear themselves so their voice sounds cracked and weird. My uncle's deaf.)

I shook my head, then grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil off a desk, and wrote: I can't hear you. I'm sorry. You're deaf.

Crystal looked at the piece of paper, then at Ari, and the truth dawned on her. If you got out of being dead, you had to give something up. Apparently for Ari it was her voice. Hades didn't do favors. He did deals.

I plopped down on my bed and shook my head. Then I remembered I had my phone. I took it out and sent a mass text to Summer and Crystal saying 'I HATE Hades <3 Ari'.
(I don't particularly care about monsters. Aren't they protected by Thalia's pine anyways?)

Crystal's phone started blaring 'Bang Bang Bang' by Selena Gomez in her back pocket. Damn...I really should've set it on vibrate. She whipped out her phone, [switching it to vibrate when she got a text while doing so] and texted Ari back. It was faster then writing it on paper.

I pulled out my phone. I had it glitterfied by a Hermes kid recently. It vibrated again, and I flipped it open. I texted to Ari: so sorry. ik hades was mean, but...
