The world was slipping away. Everything was turning nice and dark. Was it just his eyes closing? Don't....
"I can..."
Walk. I can walk. But he couldn't get the words out of his mouth. He made a futile effort to grab at the edge of the bed again. Stand up. But his arm burned and the puncture wounds from hellhound teeth on his leg hurt.
The fact that they were going to carry him made him uncomfortable enough. And he was going to say so, but the world went black before his vision.

I quickly caught his arm before he fell. "Shade, you awake?" I waved a hand before his face. "Ooh, this is bad!" I shot a look at Emmy. "I'm freaking out here!"

Emmy immediately leaned over her half-brother. "Crap. Maybe we should bring an Apollo kid here, I don't know if we should..." she said that the same time Caroline said she was outta here. "No! What the hell, why are you going to leave now?"

Wait, what? Water? Water for what? He wasn't thirsty. He was just hot. Maybe it was a fever. He couldn't understand. What a crappy dream this was. At least it should make sense.....
His vision blossomed into a full view. He was back in his old cabin in the woods. He ran inside. "Dodge?!" His mentor was in the bed, reading a book. Typical for a son of Minerva. "Dodge!" He ran to his mentor, who turned around.
"What's the matter, kid? You look pale, like I might disappear."
The irony of it. Shade reached out and grabbed for his hand. But it wasn't there. Dodge wasn't there anymore. "Hey...? Dont go.... This is a joke, right? Don't leave me... Please...? Wait...."

I grabbed a water bottle off of the table and poured it all over me. That might've looked weird. Then I took Shade's hand. The water traveled down to his leg. I stared in amazement as it healed his leg slowly. I could never get used to that.

His leg had a tingling sensation. He opened his eyes slowly. But he didn't want to end the dream. He had seen Dodge again. He had....What the-?
His leg stopped bleeding. He was beginning to wake up to the cold sensation of water. This girl was...what...how...? Shad erupted the bandage off his leg to reveal smooth, pale skin. Then he realized he had used both arms. Including the injured one. He ripped the bandage off his arm too. Nothing. Gone. Fine. Shade blinked once, then twice.
"Uh..."
He found his voice, looking up at Caroline. "You..."

Shade stood up. He noticed all the pain was gone. The wounds had disappeared. Amazed, Shade looked at the girl.
"Thank you... Uh, my name is Shade."
