Krissie tried not to laugh. "You're not deaf, are you?" she mocked Ethan. It was never a good idea to annoy a child of Nemesis, but Krissie didn't really care.

Ethan glared at her while pulling his knife out of his back pocket. I'll remember that one!He went over to the pool, still tinted red. He cut across his palm, watching the drops fall into the water. Afterward, he ripped his sleeve off his t-shirt in wrapped it around his hand. (In real life, a cut like that would need stitches)

When we reached her throne, I bowed. It seemed like I was bowing to an empty chair, but I knew better. I pulled Ethan down, too. "Get down." I hissed in his ear.

The air in front of the throne shimmered, and Gaia came into view. She was sitting on the Earth throne. "My lady," I said, not looking up. "This is Ethan."

Ethan thought he had bowed enough, so he stood. He eyed the goddess. This was the first time he'd met a super natural being.

I stood too. "This is Ethan Grant, son of Nemesis." She already knew that, but I thought a proper introduction would be nice. Gaia just nodded and waved an arm in a gesture. "Welcome to the Wolf House." Better than saying, 'I know, I have secret files on everyone', at least.
