The boy with light brown hair and sharp, grass green eyes looked at Shade and Caroline sitting across from him. His arm was just treated and bandaged. He was silent. Looks like they could be trusted. It was safe here.

Ace looked up at her with his light green eyes. The question startled him for a moment. He was silent for a while before he replied. "I...remember that I'm a demigod that's already been claimed. I remember that Camp Half Blood is a Greek camp of demigods, and that a Roman camp has come to stay for the war with Gaea. I remember how to fight...talk...basic human stuff. But...nothing else."

Shade looked at him strangely. He tapped Ace's left arm. There was a green patterned tattoo on it.
"You remember everything a demigod at a camp or at Gaea's would. But you don't remember anything of yourself, huh? What's this? Aren't you a bit young to have this?"

Ace looked at Caroline. He shook his head saying, "No.."
He flinched and pulled back at Shade's touch as if it were poison. A thought flashed across his mind. He was a threat. Ace blinked. But Shade didn't mean any harm. Reflexively, he had suddenly thought he was going to hurt him.
"Huh?" He looked at his shoulder. The tattoo? "I don't remember about this either..I'm sorry."

I realized that I hadn't even noticed the tattoo until Shade pointed it out. It looked a bit strange. Good point. What was it? Where did it come from?
He didn't know how he got it... My eyes narrowed as I thought. Could Gaia have done something to him?

Shade looked at him with surprised hazel eyes as he pulled back suddenly. He sensed a killing intent from Ace. But it faded so quickly he was sure it was imagination. Something wasn't right about the kid...
Shade was unconvinced that he didn't remember anything.
"Gaea could have sent you here as a trap, and erased your memories or something."
It was more of an accusation than a suggestion.

"Wha..." Ace looked at Shade, pulling back. "What are you talking about? Are you saying I'm a spy?" The kid felt confused. He tried to remember who he was, but all that came up was empty blankness and frustration.

As leader of the Minerva cabin back at Rome, Terry walked in with an errand. He spotted Shade and Caroline talking to a new kid. They seemed to be agruing. He gave the papers to the nurse and walked over. "Sup? I'm Terry Coleman, son of Minerva"

I glanced up at Terry's voice. "This kid appeared out of nowhere in the forest, and he doesn't remember who he is." I shot a look at Ace.

Ace's eyes flashed a poison green in anger. He stopped as another kid walked up. He blinked in surprise at his greeting. "Uh, hi...I'm.."

"You don't know who you are."
Shade finished for him. His hazel eyes returned his sudden glare. If he had a problem with Caroline, he would have to go through him first.
"We gave him a name because he apparently doesn't remember. He's Ace."

"Ace...hm, nice name. Nice to meet ya." Terry flashed a casual smile. They didn't need to get this kid worked up. But his case was curious... To appear out of nowhere and not remember anything. Odd.

I ignored the glare Ace shot me. I was slightly grumpy and annoyed. This whole Ace thing made no sense. "Well, what do you think, Terry?"
