Shade stood up to face Terry. The last sentence was a sensitive spot.
"This is way different! And don't drag Izumi into this!"
Shade glared at him. He respected his choice, but this kid still needed to be kept an eye on...

I crossed my arms across my chest, not satisfied. "Well, while he's here, where is he going to stay? Should we let him near the other campers?"

Ace watched them return a heated conversation between themselves. Every accusation stung for some reason. They were like needles being shot into him. One name made him jerk suddenly. His head hurt... He winced and put a hand to his head.
Jade. Atsuko Izumi. A spy on Gaea. A daughter of Nike and a member of Camp Half Blood. Died while saving Shade. Aaron Shade, son of Pluto and former soldier of Gaea. He hides a darker side of himself. He doesn't remember his childhood. His mentor is Dodge Coleman, Terry Coleman's brother. A son of minerva that is currently debating whether or not to join because if he doesn't, his brother might die. Caroline Miller, daughter of Neptune and girlfriend to Shade. She was one of the reasons he came back to the Greeks.
The stream of information flashed through his mind so quickly and stopped. How had he known that?

Terry turned to see Ace holding his head. He stopped himself from answering Caroline. "Oy, what's wrong?"

Ace looked up at Terry. His green eyes met his and glinted full of murderous intent for just a brief moment, it was as if imagined. And only Terry had seen it.
They are the enemy, have to kill- What the heck was he thinking? They had helped him. They weren't enemies.
"Ah, no, I'm fine. Just had a small headache, but it faded."

I flinched as I saw the look in his eyes when he had looked at Terry. Then it was gone.
I knew he wasn't telling the while truth, but didn't push him.

Terry took a tiny step back. He had felt it. His grass green gaze had sudden turned to bloodlust and back so quickly that it surprised him. Terry blinked. The killing intent had been so overwhelming...
"Ah, that's no good. Maybe our arguing was too noisy for you. Sorry." Terry smiled casually.
"Yeah, I think I'm gonna put him on guard with me today for border patrol." Terry replied Caroline. Then he could rest up in the cabin when it was empty.

I couldn't believe it. Terry was still acting so casual? It annoyed me. But I just shrugged. "Fine," I said simply.

Ace looked at Caroline. She didn't seem to trust him. He looked down at the floor with grass green eyes. He didn't expect her to trust him, after all. It would be hard to. He was pretty confused himself right now, though.

Terry looked at him. After a while of awkward silence, he tossed him a shirt. Camp Half Blood. "The sleeves are longer on this one. You can cover that tattoo. After all, you're too young to have one."
It wasn't really a problem, but Terry just needed an excuse to talk to him. "Rest here for now. Meet me outside at eleven. We have the night shift." He smiled, then walked out.

Shade looked back at Ace suspiciously before following Terry. He wouldn't try anything with Terry watching him. Terry was way stronger...right?

Then it was only us in the room. "You'd better not cause any trouble." Then a pause. "I'm sorry for accusing you of being a spy, but since you don't remember anything, it does seem highly likely."

Ace sat up as if about to protest, but she continued after the pause. He looked to the side, his eyes narrowed. After some silence he replied, "Yeah...I know I do seem suspicious after all."
Ace just suddenly couldn't take it anymore. "I'm going to go for a walk in the forest. Maybe I'll remember something. If you want to guard me, you can." He stood up off the bed. No one was going to stop him from going. He wanted to remember.
