Personality- Alice's personality can seem like a rather eclectic combination of traits. To be honest, she's still figuring out who she is. She has a good idea of who she is most of the time, but things are changing as she grows up. Most of the time she's bubbly and happy, and she just wants people around her to be happy. She likes a lot of the same things most girls her age do, all the perfume and make-up that they think they're finally old enough for. She also loves art, and isn't half bad at it. But on the down side she's good at holding grudges, which is also to say she's bad at forgiving people. she's still a kid in a lot of ways, and the bigger picture isn't something she understands. Something that hurts her, even if it should be small, seems big to her.
Alice is extremely stubborn and rebellious. Neither of these is necessarily a good trait, though they do usually lead her to getting what she wants one way or another. She's not against bending and breaking rules, and she's not about to stop if she's tried a couple times and failed. This might be why her parents are getting so tired of her attitude lately, but she can't really help her anger at them. Or that's what she tells herself anyways. Truthfully her other strong trait is how loving she is, and she's mad at her parents for kicking Isaac out. Demi-god or not she loves her older brother. All she wants is for their family to be whole again. She does know and understand why her parents think having him around is dangerous, but she believes in the idea that love conquers all and besides, she's almost a demigod too. She see's what they did as betrayal, just like Isaac does.
Alice loves Greek mythology. It might have something to do with the fact that her brother is a demi-god, and thus Greek mythology is part of their life. Along with this, she's naturally curious, and thus she wanted to know everything about it that she possibly could. It also might have to do with the fact that she's the only member of their family who really has proof all of it is real, that is aside from Isaac. Alice is clear-sighted, so she can see through the mist. Nothing mythological really phases her anymore after seeing a few monsters and a god. This doesn't say that she isn't scared of monsters or anything, she just isn't horribly surprised by finding out something she read about exists.
History- Alice was born shortly after her father died of a heart attack, being sadly put into an adoption center, for her mother knew she couldn't keep her.
Leah and Brian Delton, took her in, caring for her. Outwardly she had the picture perfect family, like something out of the movies. She had a loving mother and father, and a protective big brother. For the first four years of her life, it was perfect, or as close to it as you can get. The sad thing is, she really can't remember this part of her life. She has seen videos though, her favorite of which consists of Isaac playing "hero", running around with a pot lid and a ladle and saving a one year old Alice from a foot tall, stuffed dragon. Isaac, in many ways, really is her hero. And maybe her lack of memories is why she's willing to settle for what her parents would consider less than perfect, because life was perfect in her eyes as long as their family was together.
Perfection ended when Alice's memories of her life really begin. When she was five and Isaac was eight he started to come home a lot with scratches and bruises, sometimes even more serious injuries. She didn't understand why, and when she asked him Isaac told her he was getting into fights. It took two more years before she really understood the meaning of that statement. Isaac was walking her home from school and he got attacked by a dracanae. She told her parents about it when she got home, and life was never the same after that. To make matters worse, Alice knew she'd seen the monster, but Leah kept trying to convince her daughter that Isaac had lied to her. She told Alice that Isaac had convinced her that whoever he'd gotten into a fight with was a monster, that this was reality and not the make-believe she and he had always played.
For a while, Alice began to believe her mother. After all, Isaac was still getting into fights, and she was never with him when they happened now, so she couldn't confirm things. On top of that, things were only getting worse. Isaac started to fight with Leah, and Brian seeming to protect him less and less when it happened. Alice started to wonder if maybe her hero had turned into someone she didn't know. She couldn't look at him the same, because she didn't know what to make of him. Not until the time they went to family counciling, when the therapist turned into an empousa. Despite that her mom and dad hadn't seen the monster, Alice had, and she knew that this time Isaac hadn't lied to her, he wasn't telling her what to see.
Alice didn't really have much time to figure out how to feel, knowing that her mom had been lying to her and Isaac really was fighting monsters. At least, not before Isaac's real mom, the goddess Athena, showed up and told their dad to take Isaac to a camp where he would be safe and would be trained to be a hero. Alice wasn't supposed to listen to the conversation. Her mom wasn't home, and her dad had told her that Athena only wanted to talk to him and Isaac, but she lurked outside the room and listened to all of it anyways. When her dad and Isaac left a few days later, and Isaac didn't come home, she knew he'd been taken to camp.
She wouldn't see her brother again for a year. She, like Isaac, had hoped he might come home after the first summer, but it didn't happen. However, she would see the monsters she'd seen again. Not for real, but within the pages of a book. The fall that Isaac didn't come home, she got an assignment in her English class to research a part of Greek mythology. In looking for something to research, she came across those two monsters. She also came across Athena, Isaac's mom. In the end she did the report on Athena, and afterward she started to find out all she could about Greek mythology. Even thought she didn't understand everything she read, things about Isaac and the monsters she'd seen started to make a little sense. She started to think of Isaac like he was Hercules, rather than the white knight she'd imagined for so long.
When Isaac came home the next school year, she wanted to show off for him. She wasnted to tell him that she believed him about everything, and show him how much she'd learned about Greek myths. Maybe part of her was hoping he'd be impressed, because he was the son of the goddess of wisdom. Part of her knew that she wanted to ask him about the things she didn't understand, about why Leah and Brian couldn't see the things she could. But mostly she just wanted her big brother back, she wanted to let him know that he was still her hero. It would have been perfect, but Leah never gave her the chance to talk to Isaac. On top of that, when it became obvious that the monsters would always attack Isaac if he wasn't at the camp - which seemed to be the only safe place for him - their dad kicked him out. That January, just after New Years, their dad drove Isaac back to camp. Alice hoped that August that he'd come home, but summer turned to fall without any sign of his return.
Alice did't know why she's was the only one in their family, aside from Isaac, who could see the monsters. In her mind, though, her mom and dad were to blame for Isaac leaving. Worse yet, he left without Alice getting to tell him about everything. Lately she'd been trying to find a way to contact him, unaware that her actions were causing Isaac to have dreams about her and so far it had only scared Chiron when he heard from the young Demigod about his little sister. He has asked Artemis for help and Hunters brought her to the camp, getting her through the threshold to safety with difficulty and she has only just arrived, confused and distraught.
