Ace struggled to get the clone's foot off, but his shoulder stung when he moved it. The "Dodge" caught a syringe. The contents inside was red. What was that?
Ace tried again to move away, but the clone brought the needle down into his shoulder. He yelled out in pain. His whole body felt like it was on fire. The liquid flowed into his veins like molten lava. He thrashed and the clone took his foot away. Ace could feel his snses going numb.

"Crap!"
Shade cursed as Ace started rolling around like his body was on fire. What had they injected in him? Shade slashed away the last of the two soldiers in his way. Then four more appeared to push him back away from Ace.

I yelped and sidestepped as a knife shot through the air, nearly hitting me. The knife stuck itself into a tree trunk in front of me. Some girl stepped in front of me as I was running. I quickly tried to swerve to avoid her, but she flashed her sword, and made a cut on my chin. I mentally cursed as I turned to face her.

Terry ran forward at Ace's cry of pain. What was going on? He was blocked by a kid. He swung out with expert strikes and managed to clip on of his leg nerves. He earned a slash on his arm which he ignored. The boy fell to the ground. He went to help Caroline, smashing his staff at the back of her neck and she went to sleep. A sting in his back came from another boy's sword. He turned and blocked the second slash. They had to get to Ace somehow.

Agony washed over Ace. His whole body felt like it had overheated. He was sweating. He couldn't find the strength to get up. He was breathing hard. His green eyes were narrowed as he glared at Gaea. "What..did you do?"

"Thanks," I nodded. While Terry was fighting the guy, another soldier came up behind him. I quickly stepped in front of the boy to block his swing. "There's too much of them! You go; I'll try to hold them off."

"Those powers that you inherited from me. They're shown by the mark on your arm. I can't take them away. But I can block them. For one hour. So that's what it is. It hurt at first, but don't worry. It will fade." Gaea smiled mockingly at her son.

Shade stumbled backward. He couldn't hold off the four anymore. Shade jumped back where Terry and Caoline were and summoned a large wall of fire. The black flame seperated Gaea and her soldiears from them. Shade felt himself become dizzy. He stumbled backward into Caroline. Ace was still on the other side...

Ace was too pained to come up with something to say back to his mother. He looked over at Shade, Terry, and Caroline. They were seperated by the wall of fire. But Shade wouldn't be able to keep it there for long.
"Go!" He managed to say.

"What?!" Terry yelled from the other side of the flames. "Are you crazy?!" But there really didn't seem like ther was another choice.
Shade~ He held the flames up. The roaring wall kept the soldiers back. He tried to keep focus.

I raised a hand to steady Shade.
Ace was trapped. There were too many of Gaea's soldiers, anyway. I glanced over to Shade and Terry. "We can't leave him."

"You've fallen, my son. You're sacrificing youself?" Gaea walked up to Ace lying on the ground. A cage of earth formed itself around Ace. "Your powers should be almost blocked now."

"I didn't fall, mother. You have it wrong. I made new friends. I'm no longer the heartless person you made me." Ace could feel the stinging sensation fading. His powers...And his sword was broken. His ace card was lying sliced in half away from the cage. It would rebuild itelf, but would take time. Only his powers could awaken the sword, anyway.
He looked at them. "I said, go!" He held up a hand and felt the last of his power drain. A wall of earth surrounded them to teleport them back to camp. The clone of Dodge smashed his foot into his shoulder just as he finished. Ace winced at the pain. It was too late for them. They were already back at Camp Half blood.

Shade looked at Ace. Their eyes met. They had no choice. It was an impossible situation. They hadn't thought of Dodge being a fake. He should have never agreed to Ace's plan. He had taken the riskiest job. They were definately going to come back and get him. Shade closed his eyes as they were enclosed by a wall of earth.
"I'm sorry, Ace. We'll definately come get you!"

Gaea threw her hands up in disgust at Ace's last action. Shade, Caroline, and Terry had gotten away. But it didn't matter if she had her son.
Then she turned to some of the other demigods. "Clean this mess up." She waved her arm at Ace.
Gaea looked at the group of her soldiers and chose Summer. "Summer, come over here." Gaea called. she had a job for her.

"From now on, every hour, I want you to chose someone else to go with you and inject this into my son. This will keep him from using his powers." Gaea made a box appear from the ground. She opened the lid to reveal a bunch of shots. The liquid inside of them was bright red.

Some soldiers grabbed him and carried him away. Ace narrowed his green eyes at his mother. Gaea sunk into the ground again. Ace didn't have the strength to fight back anymore.
