She raised both her eyebrows as Ace suddenly became interested in the grass. "Oh, for goodness sake! Staring at grass doesn't help anything!" She pionted her hand at the patch he had been staring at, shooting a wave of flame at it until all that was left was useless debree.
"Unless you have proof, you're crazy #1 in my books. Next to that insane Krissie girl I got a glimpse of while she was having a fight with herself." Cory put her hands on her hips with a smirk, still looking at Ace, waiting to see what he would do.

"What?" Ace blinked as the grass went up in flame. He stared at the patch dully. A perfectly green patch all blackened. His bright green eyes studied Cory for a while before he finally consented. He held out a hand and the mark in his shoulder flashed bright forest green only for a moment. The ground shot up and twisted itself over the blackened patch of grass. It flattened itself by a simple hand motion. Instead of a black patch of smoldering grass, it was just dirt.

Cory's jaw fell open a little. Tthat was rare. Cory never showed how surprised or impressed she was, that meant admitting that the other person could do something better then her. Shaking it off, she closed her mouth and glared at Ace. "S-so? You could just a kid of Demeter!" She countered weakly.

Ace stared at her, he wasn't sure how to prove it, then. "Um, I can only move the earth. I can't really do plants...well, maybe a little." Ace thought for a while, then his figure turned into a dirt brown and sank into the ground. He reformed behind Cory out of dirt. He held out an arm (because the other one was broken) and a wall of ground rose up to separate them. Then he pushed it back down into the ground.

Cory stared at where Ace had melted in the ground, only to turned around, scared out of her mind at the dirt wall, her whole body going into self defense mode by going up in flames, even her eyes flickered like the fire around them, her clothes unharmed. Eyeswide, she de-flamed herself, staring at Ace and not moving an inch, though she now felt weak because of the whole flame thing.
Her eyes narrowed and she whacked Ace in the shoulder, only half meaning to harm him. "You scared the living Tartarus out of me!! And don't you DARE make a side comment involving Fantastic Four!!"

Ace hadn't expected her to whack him, even thought it didn't really hurt. It just surprised him. He looked at Cory with confused green eyes. "But you said you wanted me to prove to you..."

Cory's reply to that was a facepalm. "Yes. I didn't say you didn't or that I didn't want you to. I said you scared me." He had totally just ruined what was pretty much her first 'HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME' moment that wasn't curtisy of being high or on an amusement park ride. "Anyway... Don't do that again. Or I'll hug you while I have that whole 'Flame Girl' thing going on." She grumbled, her face still in her hand.

Ace nodded slowly. "I don't think that would hurt if this was around me, right?"
You could see the faintest of smiles forming on his lips as the mark on his shoulder glowed green. A cylinder or ground shot up around him, surrounding him.

Was he asking for it? Cory's defenses kicked in again and she was covered in flames. "Do you want to be turned into ashes or do you want a forest fire?" She asked through gritted teeth, trying to stay on dirt and away from trees and grass. "A forest is not the best place for a Vulcan kid, especially a fire manipulator!" She chided, using the same tone of vioce someone would use on an child that didn't get something.

"Dirt doesn't burn." Ace's simple reply came from the earth that had surrounded him. It sank back into the ground and he looked at her.

"Yes, well, grass and wood and foliage and animals do, and I prefer they remain UN-burnt, cause I don't want Gaea coming at me for burning down this place." Cory looked at Ace, her eyes masked by flames. Sighing, she concentrated and the flames left her body.

"To be honest it wasn't my chioce coming here. I don't know whether to like it or hate it. Or to call it prison or freedom." Cory grumbled as she glaced around. "It's like bits of all of that." She almost stumbled back a little, only just noticing how low here supply of energy was. Sighing, she messed with her ponytail, tightning it, hoping face didn't go pale from the energy drain, then again, she was naturally pale so there was probably no difference.

"Oh, I see..." Ace dissmissed it. He actually didn't though. Maybe it was best not to know? His mom did some pretty horrible things to others just to get good soldiers.

Krissie stood in the shadow of a tree a couple yards away, her arms crossed. She should've been offended at the 'insane Krissie girl', but she was terrfied that that was what she was becoming. Was she? Krissie listened to the conversation with mild amusement, especially at Cora's/Cory's random shifting between personalities.
She knew another kid with multiple personality disorder, but they didn't have the issue of not remembering what the other personality did, and they could somewhat [on a level] control who was...well, in control.
Eventually deciding to make her prescence known, she walked over to the two.

Ace whirled around at the slight sound of her footsteps. He let out a small breath of relief to find that it was Krissie, and not his mother. If she had heard him talking bad about her....Ace pushed aside the thought and nodded to Krissie in greeting.

"Okay then." Cory rolled her eyes and turned on her foot, though she kept her head toward Ace. "Bye." She looked foward and took a step before seeing Krissie. "Hello, Miss Spaz." She smirked and waved a little too obnoxiously. It was so fun to anger people, even if it was just a failed attempt, especially when you could all too literally burn them to a crisp if they tried anything.
