Then, I closed my eyes and concentrated hard. Lightning...lightning... A flash of lightning shot from the sky and missed the monster by an inch. I opened my eyes again. "Darn it! Missed!"

She stabs the minotaur in the side; large amounts of what might be blood gush out of the hole. It's not enough!

Crystal looked at the scorch in the ground the lighting made. Then she turned to the minotaur again. Her eyes narrowed to slits. She stabbed with her sword again. It sunk deep into the monster's other leg. "AGH COME ON DIE ALREADY!" She screamed, out of patience. She stabbed and sliced at every part of the monster she could find. The minotaur stumbled and grabbed for Crystal again. She ducked. "OKay, I officially hate minotaurs." She said with clenched teeth as she dodged it's huge fists again.

She quickly switches to her crossbow, sliding the dagger back into its pouch. She aims carefully… and strikes a bullseye. Right into the brain.

Crystal watched the minotaur.
(Well ya killed it. Now at least Crystal ain't grumblin' 'bout why the monster won't die.)

The beast staggers, and tugs the bolt out of its ugly head before collapsing to the ground. Dead.

Crystal put her sword away. "Where-how-?" She spluttered, now over the fighting with the minotaur.

The ugly lump suddenly disintegrates, puffing into a pile of dust. Dawn steps neatly over the dust and picks up her crossbow bolt.
