(Oh, lol okay. You almost gave me a heart attack at first...)
Summer~ I glared at him and opened my mouth to shoot back at him a snappy comeback when he stabbed himself. Annoyance changed to horror in my icy blue eyes as I raced over to him. "Uh...Ace?"

"Idiot!" Shade raced over next to Summer as the boy rolled onto the ground. The sword was still in his side. "Coward, you're giving up?!" He nearly shook his shoulder, but it was a bad idea to move the unconscious kid right now. He was even more afraid of pulling out the sword for fear that he would die of blood loss. He began to panic. No matter who's side he was on, Ace was still a friend. The fact that he hated being on Gaea's side and that he didn't have a choice wasn't his fault.

Summer~ "Shit, shit, shit..." I muttered. I resisted the urge to start pacing. Should we get an Apollo kid here? No time. I glanced at Shade. "What do we do?!" I was almost freakin out, something I didn't do often.

Voices.
I hear voices.
I don't want to wake up.
It hurts.
I'm tired.
I want to sleep.
Leave me alone.
Go away.
Thoughts crawled out of the darkness in the corner of his mind. He was pushing to get out. It was too hard. He gave up and slumped in the corner. Living was so hard. Hurting others was so hard. Taking a life was so hard. Hadn't he done it so many times before? He had killed without a second thought. He had never bothered to learn his victims' names. They were all dead. He hadn't realized that he was wrong. Maybe this was his punishment. A form of karma. To make friends and be forced to turn against them. Then killing himself. Well, he was glad it was finally over....
Gaea, of course, would not let her son die on her. He was strong and a useful pawn. So a tendril of earth reached up from the ground and yanked out the sword. The earth flowed up around him and filled into the wound. It slowly faded and then there was nothing left.

Summer~ My eyes widened as the earth started moving, healing him. Had he done that? Or did Gaea? I pushed away the thoughts, and focused on the main thing. "Ace, can you hear me?" Gods, I wished sometimes I had a power useful for helping people in medical ways.

Something feels different.
It doesn't hurt anymore.
No.
It hurts more.
Ace stood up from the dark corner. There was a small crack of light. But he didn't want to walk over there. He didn't want to open it. He didn't want to break through and go back. But now that it was there, he knew he would live. The crack would grow. He would wake up. The light will illuminate again. But it would be painful to his eyes. He would cover them and cower away from it. It would be blindingly painful to him. It wasn't done yet. He wasn't done yet. But wouldn't it easier if it had finally ended? Why did he fight more till the finish. He was afraid to see the ending. He didn't have the strength to open his eyes and face anything...
Ace was still unconscious. His form was perfectly still. His breathing was unstable. Obviously it had been Gaea because he didn't have the strength to do that nor was he ever capable of doing something like that. But he was knocked out cold.

Summer~ I shot a look at Shade. "Should we risk moving him back to the camps? Or just let him be?" My eyes rested on Ace's unmoving form again, and forced myself to look away.

"He looks like he healed...so he should be fine. Let's take him back. He should be something like a prisoner now." Shade said slowly. He studied Ace dully. He had thought he was going to die. But he didn't. That was close.

Summer~ I nodded wearily. "Okay, but how do we move him?" Would we have to carry him back?

"I got it," Jacob said. He picked up two long branches and layed them down parrallel. He took the rope out of his bag and wrapped it around the branches, creating a sort of stretcher. "Put him on here. We can carry him there."

I nodded to him. "Nice thinking, Jacob. So, um...how do we get him on? I'll take his arms, someone take his legs, and carry him on?"

(Man I missed so much...) Jeremy steadied himself. Everything happened so fast, he was glad he didn't need to fight at all. He wouldn't stand a chance. Jeremy walked over to where Summer, Shade, and Jacob was. "Need help?"

(DID YOU FEEL THE EARTHQUAKE?!) I glanced up at a voice to see Jeremy approaching us. I nodded to him. "Thanks."

(It was weird...and every IC needa be 2 sentences!)
I bent down and gently picked up Ace's arms. Together, we placed him onto the makeshift stretcher Jacob had built.

"Yeah," Jacob said. "I've got the back." He walked over to where Ace's feet had be laid out out grasped the two branches. "Who's got the front?"

"I'll do it," I volunteered, since I was already there. I got a tight hold on the front end of the branches, and glanced at Jacob.

Shade stared at Ace on the stretcher. He wasn't sure what to think of him right now. "I'll go notify the infirmary and get some Apollo kids to take a look at him when you guys get him there." Shade made an excuse to walk off. He began running halfway to the infirmary. He was feeling rather flustered and frustrated. His friend had nearly killed himself. For what?
