"Summer." Terry's voice was soft. It was quite the delicate situation, but looks like Ace understood as well. "The directors aren't going to let him have friends here. He's a prisoner, and has to be treated like one. We can't give him any extra freedoms without opposing the Big House." He told her gently. But he agreed that Ace deserved better than being in a cage or chained somewhere. They weren't Gaea. So they had worked out a small personal cabin with guards.

That's what Ace had supposed. Well, being a prisoner meant not doing anything that was capable of harming anyone at camp. So he guessed it wouldn't be that bad...

Damn it. Why did Terry have to be so...logical?! "Yeah, I guess," I muttered, clearly not satisfied. "But it's just so unfair! He can't help it!" Well, life wasn't fair. I probably sounded like a whiny baby.

"What do you mean I can't help it? I made the decision so I'm taking the consequences. I don't mind at all. Why do you need to worry about me?" Ace blinked in surprise as a nurse walked by. He was stopped talking.
The woman jotted something down on the clipboard, studying Ace cautiously like he might grow fangs or something. She tore off the note and handed it to Terry. Then she left with a huff. It was a release form. He was fine and would go to the prisoner cabin immediately.

I was about to reply when the nurse walked over. She gave a note to Terry. I glanced at Terry. "What? What does it say?" I peered over his shoulder. I frowned as I skimmed the page.

Terry read it all and let out a sigh. "Its a release. They checked him over and he's all healed so I have to move him to the cabin they prepared for him."

"Oh joy." Ace muttered from his spot on the bed. A nurse came and undid the bonds that strapped him down. Two demigods stepped beside him as he got up with their swords drawn in case he tried to run.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as the other two demigods moved forward as Ace's restraints were removed. "It's not like he's going to try anything..."

Ace shrugged even though he agreed with Summer. At the movement, their swords were pointed at him. Ace raised his arms. "Woah! I'm not gonna try anything. Chill." He complained. They just motioned for him to move it and he did. He looked back at Summer as a bye as they left.

I gave him a small smile as he left. "See you later." After he left, I turned to Terry, and said, "I bet Gaea has something planned. Something that'll harm our camp as well as free Ace."

Terry nodded to Ace as he was led away. He turned back to Summer and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we'll be expecting an attack soon. What makes me mad is she wants him back not because he's her son. It's because he's more useful to her than anyone because of his powers and the fact that he has no choice."

I nodded grimly. "Yeah, poor kid. The fact that he doesn't have a choice..." I kicked a leg of the bed Ace had been freed from. It wasn't fair. A lot of things weren't. Why did Gaea have to awaken anyway?

Terry let out a small sigh. "Well, I have to go finish up some eerrands. I'll see you later." Terry gave her a comfoting look before leaving.
