The blonde haired son of Gaea sat in the midst of the forest. His back was against one of the larger trees deeper in the woods. His breath was short as he held up a hand in front of him. It was so blurry...crap...Why was this happening? Why was...
He touched the mask that he wore, his left hand leaving some cracks for his left eye to try to see through. Yes, try. His left was going blind.
And Terra had noticed. That little brat had gone and told nearly everyone in camp. They all knew now. This was a big disadvantage. He was going to find that Terra and steal her watch again for spreading the news. How the heck had she known in the first place?
Why was he slowly losing his vision in his left anyway? He was supposed to be perfectly fine...
It was inevitable. Right now he could still see everything clearly, but the light was slowly fading. Every day his vision got darker, and was more shaded. Now he could see figures and movement, but barely. Everything was darker, dark without color. As if someone had put a blanket over the sun. His left eye would be gone soon. And he wasn't sure how exactly he was going to adapt to that.
He blinked a few times. He didn't want to lose his vision...have it fade to black...

Terra felt the tremor. She had been talking to her siblings when she had felt it. So she dissmissed their conversation and took off running to the forest. This sensation was...
Terra entered the clearing, spotting the boy with the mask slumped against a tree like he had run all the way here and was dying. But he seemed fine... "What are you doing here? Someone will see you! Don't just pop up so randomly! You have to get out of sight..." Terra walked up to him and bent down next to the sitting boy.

He heard her voice first, and a sprak of anger ignited inside of him. Despite being off balance because of his rapidly deteriorating vision in one eye, he forced himself to stand. He leaned against the trunk and located Terra by sound to his nearly blind left. "How did you know..?"
His voice was crackling with accusion. "How did you know I was going blind?" The question was demanding, like a tiger baring its fangs.

Summer was walking absentmindedly in the woods nearby. Not watching where she was going, she walked headfirst into a tree. "Aw, shit!" Summer cursed silently, rubbing her head and backing up a few steps after making sure there wasn't a tree behind her as well. "I hate this..." Summer trailed off as she managed to pick up the barest trace of voices. Her eyes narrowed. It sounded like a girl and a boy were talking... Who was it?
Summer normally wasn't one to eavesdrop, but now, with all the trouble, it was better to be safe than sorry. Taking a few cautious steps in the direction that the voices came from, Summer often glanced around for anyone who might be spying on her. The voices grew louder, and Summer knew that she was on the right track.
She nearly walked into the place where Terra and he were talking. As soon as she saw them, she gasped quietly and quickly stepped back to hide behind the thick tree trunk again, but they had probably just heard her.

Terra didn't hear the sound because his question had made her shocked. "I didn't mean to...but I noticed that your reaction was slower...there..."

He threw his hands up in exasperation. "Great! Just great! Now whenever I get involved with a battle, they'll all aim for my left! Why did you do that? If you wanted me killed, why didn't you say so? Why didn't you do it yourself? Do you know what it's like? Being perfectly fine one day and wake up another morning and find your vision being clouded black. I can barely see out of this ey-"
He stopped abruptly. He wasn't like Terra. He noticed the smallest things. there was a sound. And it was close. Someone was listening, or it was a monster. But he sensed demigod powers. Strong ones at that... "Who's there?" His voice was wary.

Damn. They had heard her. Well, she kind of expected for the to hear. (lol, idk why I'm swearing so much today.) Summer sighed, and swung out from behind the tree, looking at the two. One hand was placed on the handle of her knife, the other dangling at her side. "Me. I'm here."

He scratched his head and muttered, "Headache, you all are such a headache. I don't even know what I'm doing here. Agh, my head hurts."
He started pacing like he wanted to punch something. He did look kind of off balance. That was because he was going blind in one eye. He looked warily at the two, wondering if he should just teleport away.

Terra looked nervously at the two. Well...this was awkward. And Second looked really agitated. She shifted her feet a little. "Summer...Well, I just found him here...It's my fault that everyone knows his left is blind...And..." Se wasn't sure what to say.

Summer crossed her arms, eyes flickering between the two. Her gaze finally rested on Terra. "Well? What?" Summer demanded. "How did you find him here?" She sent a scorching glare at him. Why did he keep coming into camp, and not know why he did?

"My fault. I accidently let some of my power slip, and she's familiar with it, so she sensed it." He cut into the conversation. He was kind of not able to control his prescence right now. He was too worried.
He gazed at Terra. "Looks like being nice was pointless. If you didn't want to join, you could have said so. You didn't have to go giving out information that will srely get me killed."

Summer winced at the boy's words, even though they were directed at Terra. But maybe he would leave the camps alone now. Summer took a step back, not wanting to be a part of the conversation anymore. She didn't want to disturb the moment for Terra.

Terra had always thought that he was faking his kindness. Just to get her to join. But now that she heard these words she felt so horrible. It must be really hard, losing sight in one eye.
She knew there was really only one way to make this right. "I'll be your left eye. Whenever you fight, I will watch out for you. I'll join Gaea." She hated her mother anyway. This was a way of getting back at her mother. To show her she was going to help overthrow their uselessness.

Terra's words completely caught him by surprise. He was speechless, pale ice blue eyes filled with shock. "Wait..."
For some reason, her words make him feel warm. Like the blood was rushing to his face. Was he...blushing? He wasn't really sure how to reply. Someone without feelings like him...But this emotion was...nice.

Summer's eyes widened, and she stepped forward in surprise. "What?!" Turning her head to look at Terra, she exclaimed, "You...you're joining?" For him? It made Summer wonder what they had really been through together.

Terra looks at Summer for a while and replies. "I owe him that much. And what do you know? Your precious camp is screwed anyway. I don't see why you guys are so willing to throw your lives away for a parent who doesn't care about you." She crosses her arms expectantly, as if Summer might argue.

Summer was shocked and didn't reply. She was surprised at how quickly Terra's mood had changed. Finally, after a moment of Summer staring at Terra, she looked away, shaking her head. Still looking down, she sighed, "I guess that's your choice. I can't stop you if that's what you really want." As much as she hated to admit it, if Terra wanted to go, she was going to let her go. She would feel bad, giving the camps one more enemy, but she would hate herself even more if she forced someone to stay against their will.

Terra stared at Summer for a while. She hadn't gotten to the point where she had been friends or trusted these people, thankfully. It made it easier to leave. She looks back at Second. "Well?"

He stared at her lavender eyes suspiciously with his pale blue one. Ha, one. He waited for a moment, thinking. Well, a new member was a new member. But the comment about watching his back for him would be ignored. Gaea had told him when he first awoke. Feelings lead to weakness. Interrelationships lead to betrayal and sacrifice. I have not given you the ability to understand emotions for those reasons only. So he hadn't been able to understand emotions. He wouldn't.
"Very well." He finally answered Terra. He looked at Summer, surprised she wasn't stopping this from happening. "Let's go." The earth swirled around the two and they disappeared.

After they disappeared, Summer sighed and sat on at the roots of a tree. Great. How was she going to explain Terra's disappearance? Just waltz into camp, announcing that Terra had joined Gaea? How would she explain how she knew what had happened? Say that she had let her go? They would probably kill Summer for that.
