I walked into the archery range, muttering to myself. "Okay. I can do this. I can hit the target this time!" I pulled out my bow and arrows, then found a good place to practice. I took careful aim, and let go. Once again, it flew past and behind the target. "Damn it!" I said to myself. I wondered about the idea of finding someone to help me learn.

I was wandering around, then I saw Luner. I jogged over to her. "What's up?" I asked, skidding to a stop next to her. I coughed slightly as the dust that had come up when I skidded went up to my face.

I glanced up. "Oh. Hey Rachel. Not much. Practicing my archery. Unfortunately, I'm not doing too hot..." I said, rubbing the back of my head as I went to get my arrow. The only thing i was really thinking was I can't loose that arrow....

I absentmindedly tied my hair back in a messy ponytail so it wouldn't get in my face. "Do you need any help practicing?" I asked. Then, I realized what she was doing. I grabbed her arm. "You can't go across the archery field!" I gestured to the other archers. "Somebody can hit you with an arrow!"

Without really thinking, I pulled my arm away. "Trust me. I know it's right up there on the list of 'Dumbest Things You Could Do' list, but I have to get that arrow. It's got, ahh, sentimental value," I said, choosing my words carefully as I absently dodged an arrow as it wized by my head.
