Shade narrowed his eyes.
"Jacob!"
He tried to shake him to get him to breathe or something. Then he remembered that when he fainted, he probably couldn't control whether he breathed or not. He would just breathe.

After about 5 seconds, Jacob couldn't hold it any longer. He burst, sputtering and inhaling oxygen. While Shade was distracted, he rolled out from under him. He grabbed the sharp rock beneath the tree. "áíôßï," he said as he thrust the stone into his gut.

Shade made a grab for his ankle. He missed and watched in horror as he stabbed himself. Shade picked himself up off the ground and ran towards him, trying to yank away the rock from him.

It all happened much too fast for Katie to process. One moment the son of Athena was apologizing for trying to kill himself [effects of her charmspeak] then a gun was pointed at her, and then, dizzy with confusion, Katie watched, just barely processing it in her mind as Jacob tried to stab himself with the sharp end of a jagged rock. Then...oh gods. Katie's brain didn't get past that before all she could do was stare open mouthed, feeling pretty pathetic.
"Wait! Jacob!" She found her voice, but it was too late. The damage had already been done, and Katie felt, for some reason, as she reached her hand out to yank the rock away from the suicidal demigod, that she was moving in slow motion. Shade had the same idea, trying to reach Jacob to pull the rock away.

Shade reached the boy first. He caught his arm in an iron grip, trying to yank it aside.

Jake was just walking by when he saw Katie, Jacob, and Shade. Jacob wasn't awake, and Katie and Shade were grabbing for a rock. It was a very comical sight, bu he didn't laugh. Just the expressions on their face told him it wasn't the time or place to crack jokes, "What's going on here?" he asked, concerned.

Shade didn't even turn at the sound of his voice, just continued to struggle to yank the rock away.
"He's trying to kill himself for no reason! Talk some sense into him! Get Ari, even!"
He snapped at Jake involuntarily.

As Shade grabbed the rock, it was pulled out to hard. Out with the stone came half a pint of blood. Jacob coughed and choked as the crimson liquid flowed down his chin. He couldn't feel pain. Perhaps the pill? No matter. Gun, poison, blades, it doesn't matter. He was dying. He slowly lifted two fingers as he was able to expel two words;
"Peace out..."
His eyes started to fluttler closed.

Shade caught him by the arm before he could fall. He was bleeding a lot. The son of Pluto was panicing with wide hazel eyes. Stoptheblledingstopthebleedingstopthebleeding....how? How? Shade only had one solution. A fire sparked to life in his palm, dancing in a black frenzy. He set it straight on his wound, burning and sealing it from bleeding. It spared, exploding in a hungry black inferno, then Shade forced it to disappear. His wound was closed, bit Jacob was weak already. Mybe Shade had been too late.

"Oh crap!" was all Jake could say, "Umm, isn't Apollo the god of healing?" he knew the answer, and rushed by the side of Jacob. He held his hand over the wound and a sudden warmth heated his hand. A golden light exploded from his hand. Jack knew Shade had closed the wound, but he hoped to heal the burnt skin and maybe even speed up the healing. He took his hand away, and the light ceased. Where there was the black burn, new pink tissue had replaced it. Jake could almost feel the cells multiplying to heal the skin completely.
(how proud would my science teacher be right now???)

Ohhh..." Jacob moaned. "Whydga do that?" He felt his stomach with his index finger and felt the soft-as-a-baby's-butt new skin. He considered riping it off and bleeding to death, but... Before he could do anything, he became stiff as a board, and landed face-first, earning him a mouthful of dirt.

"Because you are ****ing crazy," Jake growled, he just realized he swore, if only there were a way to cure his insides. He reached into his european soldier bag and pulled out a water bottle. His hands glowed and the water started to glow. It soon reached a solid golden color, Jake lifted Jacob's head up and poured the golden water down his throat. "A couple minutes and he should be contious again." he pulled out a couple feet of rope and tied Jacob's hands and feet. He looked at Shade, "Just in case."

"Look at me," Jacob laughed, gesturing to the ropes. "I'm Jacob Bonds." He started to sing the James Bond themesong. "Doo da da doo, do do dada da!" He started laughing uncontrollabley.

Jake grinned, trying not to look like he had just swallowed a frozen cactus. He didn't do blood. "I love James Bond," was all he managed to say.
Nirvana walked and saw three guys. One was tied up, one looked like he was about to puke, and the other just looked relieved. "What's going on here," she asked Shade.

Shade had turned to look at Jake, who seemed like he was going to throw up. He turned at someone else's voice and saw Nirvana. Being his mutely shy self, he responded with his normally quiet voice.
"Ah, Jacob here tried to kill himself. And we stopped him."
That probably sounded veeery odd. But it didn't matter. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't even told Jake his name.
"I'm Shade, son of Pluto."
The dark haired boy told Jake and Nirvana.

Jake managed a smile, "That final healing stunt tool a lot out of me." It wasn't exactly a lie, he was pretty tired.
Nirvana nodded at Shade, "Pluto... That must be Hades. I'm Nirvana, daughter of Hermes. Or Mercury..." she thought for a second, "I think..."

Katie just blinked slowly, trying again [but failing miserably] to process what she'd just seen. When she finally was back to normal, she mentally kicked herself. Several times. While Shade and Jake and everyone had been fussing over Jacob, what did Katie do? Oh yeah, she stood there like a friggin' moron.
Finally she smiled at Jake and Nirvana. "Hey," she said. Katie was pretty sure they knew who she was. Hopefully...or else she'd look like an idiot. "Yeah, Hermes is Mercury." At least she could say, truthfully, she wasn't as idiotic as most of her sisters.

Jacob began laughing again. "Now that we've got introductions out of the way," he snickered. "May someone please untie me? And Katie, Dear, may you please hand me the gun? I'm getting bored."

Realising they'd probably never hand him the gun, he decided to get it himself. Due to his brain damage, he probably couldn't send a strong tendril, but he had to try. As he concentrated, sweat appeared on his brow. But soon enough, a silver tendril, looking as if it was made of clay, or a gray light, appeared behind Katie. Before she could react, it shifted into the form of a hand and grabbed the gun from her hand.
"Sorry guys," said Jacob, squirming in his ropes. "But just tell them- tell them I'm so sorry."
The gun pointed straight for his forehead. As he started to cammand the tendril, he realised who's voice it had been all along.
It was Erebus.
Jacob gasped, but it was too late. The tendril pulled the trigger.
