Adara laughed "Well, that's a shocker." she bounced slightly on her bed and said "Well, it's a nice day. Anyone wanna go for a swim?"

Caroline stared disbelievingly at the girl. Why would she laugh at that? It was a serious problem! But Caroline also was kind of glad that Adara was here, because her care-free personality erased some of the tension in the room. Caroline let a relaxed smile form on her face. "Yeah, that would sound great."
Maybe Caroline just needed to relax. She was probably making a big deal out of this. Wasn't she? Caroline blinked, not wanting to think about it anymore. "Let's go." The water would calm her down.

Caroline pleaded, "Aw, come on Rachel! It'll be fun!" Her sea green eyes sparkled. Jeez, Athena kids were always so uptight. Actually, Rachel might have been one of the better ones.

Adara smiled. She was worried but her happy and free-spirited attitude had a rep and now more than ever people needed cheering up. "C'mon, it'll be fun, and help us take our minds off the fight that just happened!" she pleaded. Adara walked over to Jake and asked "Wanna come? Fresh air might help you feel better. Besides, girls in swim suits, you can't pass that one up Jake!"

I smiled and shook my head. "Nah, I'll pass. But I'll still come and watch you guys." I hated swimming. Swimming= wearing a swimsuit. Wearing a swimsuit= people seeing the scars. Even a non- daughter of Athena could do the math. I couldn't handle that. Not combined with the stress of the war.
