Katie knocked on the door to the Other Gods Cabin, rapping against the hard wood softly. "Anyone there?" she called. Not waiting for a response, Katie opened the door. "Hey, Ally, if you're here-" Katie stopped abruptly when she noticed there was only one other person there-a blonde haired teenaged boy unpacking. "Oh, I'm sorry," Katie apologized quickly.

Katie smiled. "An accent. Are you from England? I always wanted to go there, but I couldn't, and well, now there's the war with Gaea and all-" Katie cut herself off, blushing when she realized she'd been babbling. "Oh, uh, nevermind," she muttered. She stuck out her hand to shake. "Katie Butler. Daughter of Aphrodite. You?"

Katie raised an eyebrow. "Your mother sent you here for safety?" With a dark chuckle, Katie added, "Perhaps she didn't know about the war with Gaea...then again, if your mortal parent knows that you're a demigod, she should know about the war with Gaea..." Katie shook her head and shrugged. "Well, you could be in worse placs than the middle of an active warzone. Like..." Katie trailed off, completely forgetting where she'd been going. "Damn, I felt so confident going into that sentence," she muttered to herself. Hoping Liam wasn't giving her a strange look, Katie spoke, louder this time. "Nice to meet you Liam. I think you're the only child of Eros or Cupid at this camp."

Katie broke into a smile. "In a funny way, I suppose your father is my half brother, both of us being children of the love goddess Aphrodite..." Katie thought that through, and shuddered. "Actually, forget I said that. That's cool, albeit slightly creepy..." Katie shook her head. "You should hear my mom-your grandmother, I guess-go on and on about Cupid." Mimicking her mother's voice, she said, "His birth name is Eros! Can't those silly mortals get it through their thick skulls?" Katie rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

"Anyway, for what it's worth, welcome to Camp Half Blood." She threw her arms out, waving them around absentmindedly. "Where Greek and Roman demigods, are, at the moment, working together against Gaea."

Katie sighed and sat on the first bunk she saw. Ally's, I think. Shaking the thought away, she spoke. "Gaea, as you probably know, is the goddess or titanness of the earth, depending on what source you hear it from. Personally I'm pretty sure she's a goddess. Either way, you know the story of how Kronos seized control from his father, correct?" Assuming he did not, Katie went on to explain. "Of course, it was Gaea who convinced him to take the scythe and attack Ouranos. Nice mother, isn't she?

"Either way, she's been sleeping for awhile. But recently, she's begun to wake. She's not at her full power yet, but we know it would be devastating if she did happen to awake completely. Greek and Roman demigods alike are joining her side, promises of immortality, power, the return of of loved ones, all things Gaea uses to recruit her army. In other words, complete filthy lies.

"Gaea wants to wreak revenge and havoc. If she wins the war, the world will fall into chaos and Mt. Olympus will be destroyed, all the gods not on Gaea's side cast into tartarus. And we're fighting to stop her."

Katie finished speaking, looking at Liam.

Katie nodded. "We're trying." Her voice was suddenly soft. "We're all trying...but the number of traitors increase everyday, and we don't know when the next battle with Gaea is going to be..." Katie hesitated, looking at her feet now. "And since the last battle was months ago...people think the next battle will the one when Gaea doesn't just annhilliate Camp Half Blood, but Mount Olympus as well."

liam looked confused as a random girl burst in "hello?"

liam shook her hand "im liam, son of eros, greek cupid. nice to meet you"
