I walked into the cabin. There were no other people, so maybe there weren't any other Posideon kids. I put my bag down on the bed and started unpacking to try and make myself feel at home.

I walked past the Poesideon cabin, just as I saw a flash of red hair dissapear into it. Wait, red hair? There weren't any red-haired Poesideon kids, at least that I knew of. Well, I guess I did, if you counted Krissie... I walked into the cabin to see a girl I didn't know unpacking. "Hi!" I said. I'm Rachel Barret, daughter of Athena and cabin leader. You are...?"

I looked up to see a girl with curly brown hair and stormy gray eyes. I brushed my bright red hair out of my eyes and said, "I'm Jessie Bernstein. By the way, are there any other Posideon kids at camp?"

The room momentarily darkened. At the corner next to Caroline's bed, a shadow passed, pitch black. Out of nowhere, a dark-haired boy tumble out. He landed on the wooden floor with a painful sounding thud.
"Gaaah! Ow! Owowow! Ouch!"
The son of Pluto sat up, rubbing his shoulder. He looked up in surprise to see Rachel and the new girl.
"Hey Rachel."
He said with his quiet and shy voice. He nodded a greeting to the new girl Caroline had said was coming.
"Hi, I'm Shade."

Caroline strolled into her cabin, plopping herself on her bed, letting out a sigh of weariness. She had spent earlier trying to help a new kid with archery. It had failed miserably, considering the fact that she wasn't much better than the kid.
After a while, Caroline blinked open an eye, then abruptly sat up as she realized who was in the cabin. "Hey, Shade! Rachel. And Jessie, right?" Caroline smiled at her new half-sister. "Welcome to camp!" Caroline slid off her bunk to sit next to Shade.

Shade had nearly fallen asleep waiting for Rachel. He jolted upright immediately at her voice. His head crashed into the side of the wall painfully. Shade bit back a curse.
"Go-ow! Ouch!"
He blinked, smiling at Caroline.
"Hi."

I looked around from person, to person, to person, to person.... yeah, I think that's all of them. I tried to cram all the new names into my head. I wonder how many people they're are, and if I'll actually bother to learn their names.

Caroline laughed softly, trying not to sound offensive. "Are you okay?" Caroline's sea-green eyes glimmered. "Want an ice pack or something?" she offered.
Caroline nodded as Ari came in. "Hello," Caroline greeted, trying not to laugh at Rachel's confused statement. "You didn't miss anything, don't worry."
Caroline beamed at the new girl, who seemed pretty bewildered as people all of a sudden started coming in.

Shade watched quietly, not one to use words, just a small and gentle smile. His shyness was evident in everything he did. He wasn't good at socializing. He prefered to watch his friend enjoy themselves.

I looked around. Everyone seemed to be themselves. Caroline being nice, Shade being shy, and Ari being... Well, Ari. And, of course, me being my confused self. Jessie looked kind of overwhelmed at all the new names and people. I honestly don't remember what I was like when I moved in... Oh, yeah! Now I remember! My first words walking into the Athena cabin had been, and I quote, "I have no idea what I'm doing."(that actually was the first thing I said in my first post.) Then, it had gone along the lines of this: Summer came in, Crystal and Katie came in, fighting over who got to greet the new kid first, Summer teased Crystal, Crystal threatened to force Summer into a dress, Summer freaked out, I laughed at Summer, and she slapped me. Well, it was safe to say that Jessie's moving in was going very differently then mine had.

Since no one else was talking, Caroline spoke up, "So, Jessie, do you need any help packing? And maybe after that, we could all go do something together?" Caroline glanced around to see if anyone had any objections.

Shade volunteered. It was an idea, since he hadn't practiced in a while.

"Yeah, I'll get Terry to join us."
He wouldn't find himself hitting a girl. He would never do that. He stood up.

I stood up. "Good idea. If Gaea's gonna attack soon, we should be prepared." I looked at Jessie. "Sorry, I forgot you don't know about the war. Summarizing it up, a army about 10 times the size of ours and growing larger every day is attacking us, so we need to be prepared." I explained. " Do you have any weapons or questions? Sorry if I'm confusing you, but I can be quite vague with my explinations sometimes. Actually, I'm almost always vague with my explinations."

Shade smiled sadly.
"Gaea awoke, and she declared war immediately. I guess she just wanted her world back."
But Ace had told him before. The power of the Earth wasn't always bad. Thinking about his friend made the boy sad, and he nodded to them.
"I'll go get Terry. See you guy at the arena."
He snapped his fingers and the room darkened for a brief moment. He seemingly melted into the shadow behind him and was gone.
