(This is a continuation of this thread.) Colton ran. He jumped over the fallen logs of the forest, looking back to see if their pursuer was still after then. He finally broke put of the treelike and into the camp's clearing. His breath came in short gasps from running so fast. The son of Thanatos set down the younger boy in his arms. "Come on...Wake up, kid..." He shook Shade a few times, but nothing happened. Was it the poison? Colton eyed the dagger still in his shoulder warily. It was very deep, so he didn't want to risk pulling it out. He had no choice if he was going to stop the bleeding and the poison. He decided to get help, or a medic. Probably both would be nice. Colton looked up to see if anyone was around. It was early in the morning, so there were few demigods. "Hey!" Colton shouted into the clearing, trying to wake up anyone, or catch a passerby's attention. "Someone's injured! He needs help!"And he slept still. Colton wondered how Shade could remain unconscious from the pain. Almost like he was under a Siren's melody....

(I am currently at school, lol.)
At the word 'help,' Caroline was out of her cabin and running, her bag of ambrosia in her hand, eyes wide with panic. Was Gaea attacking? No, she would have heard the sound of feet thudding on the ground, the screams of agony. The daughter of Neptune spotted Colton White, who seemed to be the source of the cry.
"What's wrong? I came as fast as I could," Caroline called, skidding to a stop in front of him, slightly panting. The son of Thanatos seemed to be carrying someone. Wait a minute. The sweep of dark hair was too familiar...
"Shade!" Caroline's mind was scrambled, and she felt numb with shock. "What-why..." Caroline wasn't able to form a complete sentence. "Wha...wha..." The first thing that occurred to her was that Colton, the ungrateful, rude, arrogant son of the death god was carrying him. Caroline exploded on him, not knowing who else to blame. Colton could have been just passing by, for all she knew, but she was too furious to think of that.
"What the hell happened?!" she screamed, her sea-green eyes blazing with anger and disbelief. "Is he dead?!"
She would deal with Colton later. Caroline quickly grabbed Shade's hand to prepare heal him, feeling his pulse. Well, he wasn't dead, but... Examining the wound closer, she saw that Shade's skin around the blade was a deadly shade. Poison...? Caroline had seen it enough times to be sure.
Caroline spun around to face Colton, tears glistening in her eyes. "What happened? What did you do?" It scared her half to death to see him like this.

Colton felt relief at first when Caroline skidded out of her cabin from nowhere. He had set down Shade in the clearing. Then, his relief turned to annoyance, then frustration when he realized what Caroline was saying. "Look, I didn't do anything lovebird, I got attacked! Some Gaea's soldier shot some daggers at us."
The moment the explanation was out of his mouth, he knew it sounded unrealistic. What was worse was, she would probably ask why the soldier was tagging along and attacked him. The only reason was he had been a spy. He could not, no matter what, tell her that. It would just make him unbelievably untreatable. Colton looked down at Shade. "The poison isn't harming him. It's a coma poison. It'll put him to sleep...until I find the antidote."

"Well, why the hell were they attacking you?" Caroline yelled, in the way that didn't really require an answer. "Why didn't you-" Caroline cut off as she realized it was useless to argue right now. "Nevermind. Let's just get Shade to the Infirmary. I'll ask you later," Caroline added, not wanting him to think it was over.

Colton narrowed his shocking blue eyes at her. He wasn't in the mood. Many demigods thought he couldn't feel anything, but he could. Every sane person should have emotions. Right now, he was full of guilt, and Caroline wasn't helping. "Like I said, that's not going to do anything. He's not going to wake up. I don't care if you don't have questions. I have a question. Do you know who's dagger is this?" The son of Thanatos gingerly fingered the dagger in Shade's shoulder. It was bright golden with black stripes across, almost like it was modeled after a bee. If he found the owner of this dagger, he could find the person with the antidote.
(He said he's going to put Shade out of the final battle like this...I don't know why.)

(Oh... And I don't think Caroline knows, so should I bring Summer into this, because she's fought Terra before.)
He won't wake up? Caroline swallowed hard and tried to keep a fresh wave of tears from pouring out, and studied the dagger. It seemed kind of familiar, but when she tried to recall who it belonged to, all Caroline remembered was a flash of gold, from the dagger. After a while, she gave up, stepping back.
"No idea," Caroline replied, the hopelessness of the situation making her want to just escape from the problem and hide.

(Oh, okay, sure.)
Colton clutched his head like it hurt, which it did. If he had been more careful, this wouldn't have happened. He looked down at the unconscious kid, his pale features were calm and still, like he was...you know, dead. The only thing that clued anyone in that he was still alive was the barely noticeably rise and fall of his chest. In frustration, Colton kicked a rock, sending it scattering to pieces across the grassy clearing away from Shade. "I've been looking at that stupid dagger for a hell of a long time, and I still can't remember why it looks so familiar!" he fumed. He had been to Gaea's camp and trained with a lot of the soldiers. He just remembered that this one belonged to a rather strong demigod. To add on top of that, the poison was a heavy one to subdue someone like Shade. It had to be a mix. And the person who made it had to have access and knowledge to the plants. A...Demeter kid? He still couldn't remember. "Do you remember anyone in Gaea's that are Demeter, Dionysus, or Persephone?"

Terry had been training. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, making his shimmering staff disappear. So the nurses at the infirmary had been telling him to rest. Who listened to them? They were under pressure, and could be attacked any moment. The last warning was a few weeks ago. The last battle was coming. He spotted a tall black figure next to a blonde girl with sea green eyes. Caroline and Colton, he realized. It wasn't until he walked closer that he noticed that both looked distressed. Terry jogged up to them, opening his mouth in. Question a long with raising a brow behind his glasses. He stopped as he sighted his best friend unconscious on the ground. His gray eyes which were usually like turned smoky and stormy. "Shade? What..." In an impulse, he shot a glare at Colton. Meeting his eyes, he realized that he looked guilty. "What happened? What did you.." He stopped himself, realizing he was blaming the kid. He was letting the anger get to him, and the son of Thanatos' naturally unpleasant aura wasn't helping.

It never seemed to change. Letting out a defeated sigh, he bent down next to Shade. "Alright, alright, it was my fault, okay? Does that make you happy? We don't have the time. You've taken an arrow out of him before, now get this dagger out from his shoulder. I have bandages. Now hurry up and help him!" Colton had to be in a foul mood to admit defeat.

Caroline put the bag that she had been holding down next to him. "I'll get some nectar, if you want? Would that help?"
Summer shot a puzzled glance at the group in the middle of the clearing. What was happening? Jogging closer to get a better look, she recognized Colton, Caroline, and Terry gathering around an unconscious Shade. "What happened?" Summer wondered, half to herself, and half aloud. She was too busy examining the dagger. The sight of it had provoked something in her memories. "Hey..." Summer muttered, coming to a realization. "Isn't that Terra Holly's blade?" Summer rubbed her side, remembering the wound.
(Merry Christmas!! Even though I'm an atheist. However you spell it. Sorry, I'm in a hurry.)

"It looks like what it is. He got poisoned by that dagger. He won't wake up unless we get the stupid antidote." At Summer's suggestion, a memory struck him. He had been intent, on ignoring any passerby, but he turned around to face Summer. "Terra. Terra Holly. That's it! She's a daughter of Demeter, and she uses poisons and throws dagger from that odd contraption of a watch! I trained with her! I remember!" Grabbing his sword from his sheathe, he began to head off. "Come on, Andrew, let's go."
The ghost boy flitted from his side in front of him. He blocked the boy, making him stop. "Now wait a moment, master. Let's not charge straight ahead into this matter, alright? It could be a trap, and they would know you were coming. Why not gather some people like last time they saved you and Terry?"
Colton let out an angry hiss at the spirit. He didn't like the notion at all. Reminding him of his moment of weakness when he needed help made his simmering temper begin to boil at temperature high. "Thos is my problem, and I'm going to fix it."

(Is it okay with you guys if the battle is tomorrow?)
Summer immediately offered, "I would be more than glad to help you." Summer was just so tired of waiting in camp, waiting for Gaea to make the next move, since the camps certainly didn't have the strength to challenge her. Summer didn't care if Colton refused; she would follow him anyways.
"Terra?" Caroline's eyes widened. "That Demeter girl?" Caroline crossed her arms, remembering her quarrel over Cy with her.

Colton turned around, blue eyes blazing. "I don't need your help! I fix my own problems!" he protested. The ghost flitted around his head in an upset. The son of Thanatos looked down at Shade. "Kh..." He turned around with an angry curse in Greek. This was so frustrating!
"At least wait until tomorrow, master! You have to have patience! Rest a while, let's get this situation figured out. You're obviously still weak from you captivity!" In anger, Colton swung out at the ghost. "I am not!"

"Hey, don't take your anger out on the ghost and stop being so grumpy!" Summer protested. She knew that she was pissing Colton off even more, but didn't care. "Save it for Gaea. And I don't care if you don't need my help. It isn't about that. I'm coming whether you like it or not," she added annoyingly, "so save your breath."

Colton gave her a seething glare, stronger than he had intended, but he wasn't in a great mood. Before he could say anything more, Andrew flew into his face. "I told you to wait, master! Whether you like it or not, you need to recover. You can barely stay on your feet. They kept water and food from you for a week. You almost died! For all I know, and since I'm a son of Apollo, I know! You need more than three days! It's only been two!"
Colton recoiled as if the ghost had slapped him. From the look in his eyes, you could tell his pride was somewhat wounded. The ghost had never been so harsh to talk to him like that before. "I'm perfectly fine!" He spat at the ghost.
"Oh yeah?" The ghost borrowed some of Colton's strength, being able to do that since the boy had summoned him. The son of Thanatos had felt the sudden drain in energy too. His blue eyes widened in surprise. "What do you think you're doin-" The ghost shot a shadow which solidified into a obsidian rock, hitting a nerve in the back of his knee with pinpoint precision. Reflexively, Colton's leg collapsed on itself without him giving the command. Feeling numb, he was crouched on the floor, gasping at his sudden fall and feeling of weakness.
"Nerves are useful int their own ways. I'm glad I'm an Apollo kid. You'll be in no condition to move around today." Andrew clapped his hands gleefully. Colton shot him a deadly glare. "I don't have time for this! Gaea's final attack could be tomorrow for all I know! I need to get the antidote! And as for being the son of Apollo, you were." The spirit sniffed. "Hurtful."

Summer smiled at the ghost, grateful that he had stopped Colton from going on a suicide mission. That was the last thing the camps needed. "Your ghost friend, Andrew," Summer said, recalling when Colton had tried to walk off earlier, "is right. If you haven't eaten or drunk anything for a week, it'll be a while before you can fight again."
"And we'll just have to hope the fight isn't tomorrow. Now, do you need me to carry you to the Infirmary, or can you manage to get there yourself?" Summer teased. She might as well have some fun with this.

Terry watched with somewhat amusement, but had worry overcome him. "Yeah, Andrew is right. Let's hold this off until tomorrow. (lol, what a coincidence, the attack is tomorrow!) We need rest." He looked down at Shade. He bent down next to his best friend, taking out bandages and some nectar. He gingerly and slowly removed the dagger. Carefully, very carefully, he slid it out. Terry himself felt the pain, even though the dagger wasn't in him. He expected Shade to tense or flinch, but he was unconscious. Feeling disappointed, Terry tightened the bandage on the wound, stopping the bleeding. "He'll be fine..for now."

Summer nodded, smirking at Colton. "Let's go, death boy, unless you're really thinking about my offer of carrying you."
Caroline let out a sigh of relief. "Where should we keep him while we're looking for the antidote?"
(My dad's friend's family is coming over, and I think I have to babysit a one-year-old and a four-year-old today...grrz.)

Colton gritted his teeth in aggrevation. Summer was getting on his nerves. He stood up slowly, almost shakily. "Shut up! I'll go myself." Some of the fight had disappeared from hi voice.
Andrew flitted back and forth in front of then and complained. "Look for the antidote tomorrow. It's getting late."

"Yeah, it is," Summer said, finally taking notice of the sky that was slowly turning to red. "We can go tomorrow." Then, turning back to Colton, she called after him, "Sweet dreams!" Barely able to hold back a smile, Summer left for her cabin.
"I want to go too!" Caroline complained, following Colton like a kid following his mother.
