(Yeah, I was short on title names... and I probably won't actually do this,(as in, I'm doing this on the alternate time line and nowhere else.). I just want to see what happens. Bold is lyrics from the song "When She Cries" by Britt Nicole. I had to change a couple lines to fit what's happening. I do not own the song.)
Rachel stood in the bathroom, razor hovering over her wrist. Did she really want to do this?
Little girl terrified
She'd leave her room if only bruises would heal
A home is no place to hide
Her heart is breaking from the pain that she feels
Rachel inched the blade closer, remembering her mother's face sneering down at her 9-year-old self. Although the bruises had faded from her skin, they remained internally. She had managed to hide what happened to her from her family, at her own home. Until now. With each passing day, her strength had gotten weaker, until she couldn't hold it in anymore. She just had to do this. She knew that it would break her sibling's hearts, but she couldn't hold it back anymore.
Every day's the same
She fights to find her way
She hurts, she breaks, she hides, and tries to pray
She wonders why
nobody hears her when she cries?
For a while, Rachel had been getting better. At least, she thought. When a sibling died, she realized that had only been an excuse. She really wasn't. Even a new siblings arrival couldn't reverse the sadness. Then she began to question the gods. Were they really looking down on her, making sure she got dealt the right hand of fate? Would her mother actually stand by and watch her daughter wasting away?
Today she's turning fourteen
Everyone singing, but she can't seem to smile
They never get past arms length
How could they act like everything is alright?
She's pulling down her long sleeves
To cover all the memories that scars leave
She says, "... maybe making me bleed will be the answer that could wash the slate clean"
Today was her 14Th birthday. Her whole cabin had been happy for her, and she had smiled and laughed along, but inside, she was wondering how they could be so happy with a war going on. She had wanted to scream "Don't you see? How can I be happy when there's nothing to be happy for?" That's when the thought first came to her. Suicide. At first, she had brushed it off, thinking that her camp needed her. Then, as the day progressed, the thought kept coming back, stronger and stronger. Something in the back of her mind urged her "They don't need you! they can go on by themselves. If you die, I bet they won't even shed a tear." So she decided to do it. She just had to.
This is the dark before the dawn
The storm before the peace
Don't be afraid 'cause seasons change and
the gods are watching over you
they hear you
Rachel pressed the blade even closer, and felt the blood run down her arm. She hoped they would read the note. She had explained everything on it. About her abuse, and what she had done. How she thought she could hold out until the end, but couldn't. She had left the note on her bed. Little did she know that one of her siblings had just woken up, had found the note, and was currently waking up all the cabin 6 kids so they could read the letter.
Every day's the same
She fights to find her way
She hurts, she breaks, she hides, and tries to pray
She wonders why
nobody hears her when she cries?
Well, it was too late to turn back now. The blood was pouring out quickly. Rachel dropped to her knees and smiled. Finally, she was at the end.
(Any person who wants to can make up what the letter says, as long as it mentions her abuse and her wasting away. An it has to be sad. And Jay, it cannot include rape, or anything along those lines.)
