Crystal sat by the lake on a large, flat stone, looking over the calm water and not feeling anything for the first time in her life. She threw a pebble and it skipped three times before sinking to the bottom of the lake. Small ripples spread out from where the rock touched and a tiny splash occured when it finally hit the water the fourth time and sank. The ripples faded away and the lake was still again. Crystal made a slow circle in the water, watching the lake water swirl around in constant circles...

I ran to the shore and sat down. I didn't notice Crystal. Neither did the spirit that formed next to me. I gasped when I saw him. "So you're the voice that I kept hearing in my head. You're...you're Erebus!" Erebus smiled. "Yes. I will help you control your powers and unleash your fury upon others! I will teach you how to destroy the gods! I-er, you will be the ruler of everyone! You shall be rewarded greatly. Do you accept to let me teach you how to get power?" The spirit's eyes glowed yellow and I looked into them. My eyes shone gold, too. I heard voices in my head to accept. I opened my mouth to say yes, but I heard myself speaking, louder than the others. No! Do not accept! My father's voice boomed in my head.

Crystal heard someone and instantly jumped, eyes slightly wild, and whipped around to see Summer seemingly talking to no one.

"Um..." I still didn't notice Crystal. All I saw was Erebus, standing in front of me. "Well?" He asked, amused.

Crystal blinked rapidly many times before calming down. Then she cocked her head to the side and wondered why Summer was talking to her shadow.

"I-I-I"-" I stammered. "I acce-" My father's voice boomed loudly and he appeared next to me, his eyes steaming."

Crystal half conciously stepped back and nearly fell into the lake. She regained balance without making the slightest sound.

Zeus looked in Crystal's direction, then turned back. "Erebus! Stay away from my daughter!" The golden glow faded from my eyes and I collapsed and Zeus caught me. He waved his hand through the spirit, and it dissolved.

(how much is Crystal seeing in this?)
Crystal slowly backed into the lake, not realizing she was until she was waist deep in. The water sloshed calmly around her but where she was standing the water was as still as the air.

(She can see everything, k?) He steadied me and went poof into smoke. I blinked and saw Crystal. "Wha-how did I get here?"

Crystal blinked, astonished, wondering if she was supposed to see that. She was still standing in the water, perfectly dry, and the water was still where she was standing so she was still completely silent. "Erm..." Was all she could say at the moment.

I felt a twinge of panic. Crystal saw him! "What do you mean?" I asked warily, trying to lie but horribly failing at it. "I wasn't talking to anyone."
