Jockeys Wanted... If You Dare...

Jason started to clean the saddle. He knew they were there, but chose not to look up.

Riku let Hannah drag him to the room. He smiled a little more before they walked into the room. His eyes went straight toward the only lighted area of the room. He saw pictures of a young girl with white hair and bright blue eyes like Riku. She was sitting on a horse that had a blanket of flowers over the shoulders and a man that looked like Jason, only younger, standing next to her. He started to walk towards them.

Jason didn't look up. "Do you want a job, my boy." he asked, wiping the last of the mold off the saddle and began to wipe the dirt off.

Riku didn't look at Jason. "Ya... Thats one reason why i'm here...." He said calmly looking at another picture that had the same girl washing one of the horses with the man's help. But it looked more like they where playing around more then washing the horse.

"Then this saddle is now yours. It once belonged to the girl in that picture..." Jason said, setting down.

Jason chuckled and looked at her. "What can you do?" he asked. "And the only reason why I gave the boy a jockey position is because I think he'll be as good as my daughter was..." he added as he looked at the pictures again.

Jason nodded. "How 'bout you be a groom? And if you prove yourself, possible exercise jockey." he suggested, looking at the saddles. He looked out the door and walked to the doorway. "Boy. You up to riding tonight or tomorrow?" he asked, looking at the horses.

Jason nodded. "Alright then. We'll take Fleet Warrior, then Murderous Sugar Panic." he said, walking out.

A red head ran up to him and asked him a question softly.

"I Shot The In...." Jason said back.

The boy nodded and ran out.

Jason walked back in. "Miss, first off. I never got your name. And second, can you help Red with the horses?" he asked.

The red head walked up behind Jason. "Smith. Snape won't be caught." he said, quickly and softly.

Jason looked at Hannah. "Your first job with the horses.

The red head nodded and walked out. He lead her to a paddock with a couple bays and a dapple gray. "The gray. His barn name is Snape. He is registered as Coal Miner's Halloween. He just turned two and his starting his race training...." he said, looking at her. "He is pretty flighty. The bays, Buck and Pan, are three. They both are stakes winners and Buck is aiming for the Triple Crowns. I'll catch those two." he added, grabbing three leather halters with names on a plate over the nose band and handed Hannah one that read Coal Miner's Halloween.

Snape shied from her hand.

"Natural horse girl..." the red head said with a grin. "Wonder if Smith will let ya race..." he added in thought as he easily slipped the halters on the bays.

Buck nipped Pan.

Pan lunged at Buck.

The boy yanked on their leads, which were attached to chains. "Stallions...." he muttered and started leading them to the barn. "They are all stalled near each other, so just follow me."

Sanpe watched the dog carefully and flared his nose.

The boy put Pan in a stall and put Buck in a couple stalls down. He pointed to a stall across the walk way. "He goes there." he said. "We've got a couple more horses to bring in that you can handle yourself. The halter that says 'Action Stray' goes on a dark bay with a tiny star the size of a dime. The other halter, 'Spastic Fire Panic', goes to the chesnut."

Jason thought for a second. "Can you start grooming Fleet?" he asked, pointing down the hall.
