A blonde fourteen-year-old pulls off her welding mask, looking down at her project. She smiles. "Mr. Reck, I finished!" she. The thirty-four year old shop teacher weaves through the tables, smiling at his star student.
"Tillie, that's amazing!" He beams, ruffling the girl's already mussed hair.
He whips out his camera, snapping a few quick pictures of the palm-sized piece of work. It's a model of the solar system.
"Watch this." Tillie says smugly. She holds the project up by a small metal clasp, then flicks it with her other hand. The rings twirl, accurately portraying the planets, orbiting around the sun.
"It's a real masterpiece, girl." He pulls a slender silver chain out of his pocket and clips the metal clasp onto one of the loops, then buckles the chain around Tillie's neck.
"Thanks, Mr. Reck."

Hephaestus grins down from Olympus. "Look at my girl." His voice booms through the throne room, "She's gonna be a real good one, just mark my words."

Four years later, the eighteen-year-old girl still loves watching the pendant twirl. Since then, she had created countless larger-scale models, hanging them all over her house.
