“Poison is not a weird name. You should meet my best friends forever, Helen and Brit. I mean, how did they get those names? Their parents must be from some sort of foreign area or even planet. But I don’t really care-they’re my friends. I’m talking so awkwardly, but I wanted to introduce myself to my new video journal. Anyways, I’m getting off topic.
“This is Armithia. It is a planet that was made after the ancient planet known as Earth. There are two extremely large continents-Ptero and Xanth. Ptero is the reptilian continent, where dragons, cockatrices, serpents, etc. live. But they are not friends. The creatures of Ptero are the enemy. So you’ve probably guessed that I live in Xanth. We are all humanoids, benders, and were creatures. It’s pretty awesome, and the army will beat those sissy reptiles to the ground!”
“Poison, stop blabbering into your video journal!”
“Okay, mom.” I frowned, and the journal turned off automatically. I got out of my chair and my sightless eyes turned to the direction of the door.
Oh yeah, and just so you know, I’m a blind Earthbender.
I felt the vibrations around me and walked down the stairs as anyone would’ve. I walked past my mother, who was sitting down doing something-I couldn’t tell exactly what, for it was probably floating in the air.
My feet soon took me to the kitchen, which was an empty room with two chairs. I walked over to one, and pulled it next to a hole in the wall, which didn’t have any windows. I sat down in the chair and rested my arms on the flat of the glassless window.
“Waffle House, Home 830238.” I said in a lazy tone.
I soon heard something coming up in my general direction. It must’ve been the Waffle House boat, because I heard a lady’s voice,
“What would you like?”
“Two pancakes, stacked please.”
“Comin’ right up, darling.” The waitress turned into something, because I heard a little “poof” as her form changed. When she squawked, I realized she was a Red Tailed Hawk. After I heard the “poof” again, a platter was given to me. Those were the pancakes.
I handed her a ten dollar bill and I heard the sound of her little restraint boat floating away. I wish I could see how they worked.
I grabbed the fork that was on the plate and started munching on my pancakes, while sticking my left hand into my jean pockets, looking for my phone.
I pulled out the tiny device, carefully feeling the vibrations on the stone table so that I wouldn’t set the phone into the pancakes. That would be two bad things. My phone would be destroyed, and the pancakes as well.
Finally I set the phone down in a safe place, feeling for the button. I found it, and pushed it lightly. I heard the tiny whoosh as a screen appeared. Sadly, I didn’t know how awesome it looked.
“Call Helen, Brit, Blue, and Flare.” I mumbled, and I heard the tiny whispering of the wind themed phone as it started to ring.
“Hey Poison!” They all said in unison as they answered. They were probably surprised to see each other but it was cool. So anyways, before I forget, I’ll tell you a bit more about my BFFs.
Helen doesn’t have any special abilities, but she kept some magic herbs that could only grow at her command. I guess it is a special ability, because she can make them grow in a few seconds, seed to fully grown. They’re really fun to play with when t comes to different voices.
Brit is the same as Helen, but her parents are as rich as mine. They had gotten a scientist to give her phone special abilities. It could turn into any weapon that never ran out of ammo, never missed, and was the finest crafted. Brit’s pretty lucky.
Blue, well, Blue’s a go with the flow type of girl. Literally. She is a pro surfer, and she can shift into a dolphin. She is really cool, and at school, almost every guy has a crush on her. It’s actually pretty funny, I can’t wait until the school dance. Whoever she chooses is in for some major torture.
Flare is a lot like me. Except she’s got one short temper. Maybe its because she can turn into a grizzly bear. She’s a redhead, and she is always going to school with a strong look on her face, like she’s challenging everyone who’s guy enough to face her. But everyone knows what she can do.
“Hey guys! I’m eating some pancakes right now-what are you up to?” I asked, my mouth partly full with the sweet pancakes.
“Well, Flare and I got a job at burger king. We’re going to be in floating boats for about two hours of out day. We just wanna make some quick cash.” Brit stated.
“Agreed.” grunted Flare. I could tell that she had a milk shake-Flare was faintly slurping a milk like substance.
“Guys. Great. I’m fine with that, and gotta tell you, I’m feeling pretty tired now.” Blue said in her usual voice.
“I know how you feel. Mom actually noticed me speaking into my video journal. That was probably a dream, though.” I stated. My mom was a workaholic. She never saw me doing anything, and was a total neat freak. But she was only home for a few hours before she goes to the southern part of Armithia to study the plants and animals. I missed my dad. I think that he went off to war. But he has been sending us the occasional letter, but it’s always short and looked like it was written in a hurry. If only he were more detailed.
“How can you guys just sit around eating bonbons while a war is going on? Are you blind, people?” Helen snorted.
“Yes. I am very much blind.” I snapped back. Helen was in one of her moods today, where she talked and cared about things that she never seemed to notice.
“Oh. Sorry.” Helen mumbled.
“Helen’s right,” Flare admitted, “And I actually wanna be involved in the war.” Brit sounded surprised at Flare’s comment, but I knew se was going to speak before she did.
“Flare. You’re a genius! I know exactly how all of us can be involved in this! We can dress up as guys!” Brit said with emphasis.
Woah! Hold on there-I forgot to tell you the most important(until another one comes) fact that you’ll have! When the war started President Lee prohibited females from fighting-he said it was just too dangerous. But a lot of girls-like us-didn’t believe him.
“I can tell you exactly where to get the most boyish outfits in town.” I smiled-now was our time.
11:29 am, January 6, 74328481034
I waited in front of “Revenge” for my friends. When I felt their footsteps, I automatically turned in their direction. Soon I heard their voices.
“Will people stare at us when we go in? What will they say?” My hand slapped my forehead, my friends were having second thoughts.
“Guys, trust me when I say that you won’t get stared at. I come here really often!” I smiled. It may seem weird, but I know what I’m wearing because of earth. I put a layer of earth on the clothes, and suddenly I know exactly how it looks-even the color! It’s pretty hard to get earth to cover the whole thing, though.
Anyways, I motioned for my friends to follow me and we all walked into the boys’ thrift shop. Almost immediately, I sensed Blue go over to a rack of blue shirts. I smiled, and soon also sensed Flare going to a rack of dark brown jackets. And soon Helen and Brit gave in and went for the black stuff. I just sat down on the floor and waited. I didn’t need any disguises.
After about an hour, my four friends had bought a full outfit. When I felt the vibrations in the earth to try seeing their outfits, I saw four boys standing in front of me. But they were my friends.
“Good work! Wear these.” I tossed them tight wrappings.
“What do we-never mind.” Flare, Brit, Blue, and Helen rushed into the fitting rooms again. When they came out, they were total boys. I smiled at them and walked out of the door.
“Make your voices deeper than they usually are, or just add a “dude” after every sentence. Blue, my guess is you look like a hippie. You will act like one, saying dude and not cool and stuff like that. Start now. Helen, you’re probably like those people down in New Orleans, in the bayou. Talk slower, more New Orleans style, almost a bit French. Brit…You will talk like a normal boy, voice just a bit deeper. Flare, you gotta talk like you’re the strongest boy in the universe. And I will be BRITISH!!!” I smiled, “Oh, and, change your names guys. Poison and Flare can be guys’ names, but Helen, Brit, and Blue? Girly.” I snorted. Helen, Brit, and Blue thought for a few moments, then nodded their heads.
“Time to go get recruited!” Helen said dreamily.
Flare ran in one direction, and I supposed that she knew where to go, so I followed her footsteps. My friends were coming, too. Soon Flare stopped in front of a building, then walked inside.
“Why are you here?” Came a tough voice. Probably the recruiter.
“Dude….Isn’t it obvious, man? We wanna join the army, dude.” Blue said in a sluggish, boyish accent. I winked.
“Voice clearance and name!” The man shouted into our faces.
“The name’s Rush, man.” Blue said in a slurry way.
“ACCEPTED! Next!” Came his reply.
“Mike, y’know what I’m talking about, eh?” Helen stated. The man nodded, and then Brit was next.
“Nigel, sir.” She said boyishly. The man nodded a bit more reluctantly, but he still did.
“Some people call me Flare.” Flare said, flexing her muscles. The man nodded, smiling as he did. Now it was my turn.
“Name’s Poison.” I said, sounding totally British. The man nodded quickly, and beckoned us all into the back room.
There we saw a bunch of guys who were probably like us-wanting to join to army.
“ATTENTION!! My name is Sergeant Pickles. You may find it funny, but trust me when I tell you not to laugh. You boys have been accepted into the army, so you must follow the orders without hesitation of ranks that are higher than you. You will follow me!” And with that, Sergeant Pickles(giggles evilly) walked out of the room. Our group followed him, onto the truck. I felt for a footing, if only my powers extended to finding things one floor higher. Blue grabbed my searching hand and pulled me up and into the back of the truck. When I was on the metal, I simply adapted, and I was able to “see” again. I smiled and opened my mouth to speak, but Sergeant Pickles had beat me to it, “ATTENTION(geeze, our attention was already on you, dude!)!!! When you get to the training base, you will go to basic gun shooting!”
Brit yawned,
“Sergeant, what if we are already experts at it?” She asked without really caring. Sergeant Pickles’ face turned red before he calmed down.
“Then you will only shoot a few times with your own gun.” He was probably trying to scare her, but Brit pulled out a pistol from her pocket(which was her phone) and tossed something into the air, because she shot it and it exploded like glass.
“Well, I’m sure we can make an exception. You and your friends can go to the basic workout area then you can teach your friends how to shoot yourself, and then this little group of boys will be my favorite!” Brit smiled and blew a bit of smoke off of her gun, “I’m going to teleport to the place.” And she just disappeared.
Oh! I also had a machine for teleporting! I searched in my pockets and soon found a really small device. I clutched it and smiled, “Flare, Mike, Rush, grab my arm.” They all simply touched my arm and I squeezed the teleporting device and we were in the training area for the recruits. Some guys’ feet told me that they were staring at us, because the toes were facing our direction for a while before turning back to whatever they were doing. I waved absentmindedly at them before turning in the direction of a thing that was causing vibrations but also was big.
“Hey guys, I know where the workout area is! Follow me!” I ran in the direction of the area and could sense my friends’ footsteps as they followed me.
When we got there, we saw a really big dome. I walked in fearlessly. Flare followed first, then Blue, then Brit, then Helen. I heard them all gasp, not in unison, but still-a pretty good gasp. And soon, I gasped. I felt the countless machines and the odor of sweat. We were in a pretty nice training dome. Every once in a while, some sort of machine would come in front of us and make some motions-it was probably a machine programmed to Airbend so that fresh air would come in over the sweaty smell, but after thirty minutes, it came right back.
But now we were part of the sweat making. I was on some sort of climbing machine, but it was made of earth, so I felt right at home. Brit was shooting some cockatrices in a little game while also dodging dragonfire. Her slow footsteps told me it was tiring. Helen was busy racing some guys sticking a hand in her bag of seeds every so often so that she could throw dangerous plants at them. I also noticed that she was pretty tired, too. Blue was doing some sort of surfing activity, but she was dodging some fake sharks and shooting sea serpents at the same time. I couldn’t feel her feet because she wasn’t on the ground but it sounded confusing, not tiring. Flare was wrestling some pretty buff guys, and I could tell that they were both pretty tired. It would be cool to see who won. A large smiled came to my face, and I went faster and faster, trying to tire myself.
When I was climbing up the stairs at one hundred miles per hour, I was starting to feel it. A cramp in my legs. But I kept going until I couldn’t go anymore- the machine stopped working. I guess it wasn’t used to that type of stuff.
“You actually managed to get to one hundred?” A guy asked, coming over.
“Yep. I did, what do you say about that, eh?”
“I’ll say wow.” And they guy walked away. I was pretty happy, to be praised by someone who wasn’t a newbie. But I was cheating. I guess using Earthbending wasn’t right.
Which was why I was going to do it.
We spent the rest of the day just randomly training with guns, running, etc. When we were finally shown our high tech sleeping quarters, we pretty much fainted into our beds, just up enough to pull the covers over our heads. It was really cold at night in this time of the year. I closed my eyes and began to dream.
“Hexes and claws, the dragon of doom, the thief of hope, the killer of peace. I ask that you come.” Sang a lich dragon as he took a red aura out of a container and held it for a moment before walking over to a large black dragon which was lying down on a large bed. The lich dragon opened the black dragon’s mouth and gently put the aura in like he was feeding a weak baby. The black dragon’s eyes opened, but they were totally red, no pupils in the middle. They seemed to glow with evil and hatred.
“Yes, yes! It actually worked!” The white lich dragon smiled and got out some lotion. Opening the cap and getting the lotion, he rubbed it onto the black dragon’s scales, making them shine in a somehow immortal light. The label on the lotion bottle said, “Cream of the Invincible”. Darkness and death was about to happen. The black dragon shakily stood up, then quickly learned how to walk.
“Now that you have strength, wisdom and brains are required.” The lich dragon sang. He got yet another aura, contained in a box. It was extremely large, and it’s color was green. The lich dragon fed it to the black dragon again and suddenly it’s dazed look turned smart.
“Now it’s time for the actual survival.” The lich dragon rumbled smoothly. He got out some sort of sharpener and opened the black dragon’s mouth. He scraped it up and down the teeth, making them sharper and sharper. And then he sharpened the dragon’s front claws, but put bulky cream on his hind talons. He formed fins out of the dragon’s tail horns, and attached poisonous spikes to the end of the tail. He cut the dragon with a special knife three times under his right eye. He was making gills. Then he inspected it’s wings, and tore at them faintly to make them look scary, then got out a “Make Me Bigger” cream and rubbed it all over the wings, making them very large. He enchanted it’s hearing, sight, and smell, making them one million times stronger.
Then the lich dragon ripped something out of himself, it was a black aura. He fed it to the black dragon. The black dragon smiled cruelly, “Thank you General, but your time issss over.”
6:22 am, January 7, 74328481034
Someone shook me up, and I opened my eyes, but it was as if they were still closed, “Wha?” I said slurrily. The person who had shaken me whispered into my ear,
“Something’s here. You and your little group of boys should go out there to fight it.” At first, I was thinking that it was cool. But why send recruits-especially new ones-out to fight something? But I didn’t really care. I got out of bed and shook my friends awake, “Gotta go fight something.” I whispered, and they quickly got out of bed and followed me outside. And my feet saw the scariest thing that feet could possibly see.
It was the black dragon from my dream…
“I called a trucccceeee….” It hissed with an annoyed tone at all of the people around it. It’s eyes flashed with anger.
“Everyone, maybe this dragon actually did…What do you want?” I asked him, looking up just to pretend I could see. I knew he was looking at me.
“I know you are blind, ‘boy’,” It rasped, “And I only wanted to talk to you and your little group of ‘boys’.” I gasped, this dragon knew who we were. And even more strange, it didn’t rat us out!
I beckoned for everyone to go, I knew this dragon wouldn’t attack. Yet.
“That’sssss better…I wanted to tell you girl, that I am not an it. I am a sssshhe. My name issss the Hope Thief…I want to sssay you could join usss, and we could transssform you…”
“No!” I said just as her words came out, “I’m loyal to the humans!”
“You don’t havvve to be….” Her snake like voice trailed off.
“But I want to be, and that’s good enough!” I shouted as loudly as I could without waking up the other soldiers.
“Then you ssssshhhhaaallll die!” She roared, and soared at me. Without thinking, I made a collar and shoved it on her neck. Suddenly I could see her. I knew she wouldn’t take it off, as cruel as this dragon was, I knew she would play fair when it was someone with sight disadvantage. I sidestepped and she missed me, her huge claws just passing by me. I forced a large chunk of rock out of the ground and threw it at her, full speed. It hit Thief, but when it did, the rock shattered, and her scales weren’t even shining less than usual. Now that was freaky. She roared, showing her razor sharp teeth.
“A little help would be appreciated!” I yelled to my friends. Brit’s phone turned into a rocket launcher and she started to shoot. Blue got her daggers out and started throwing them at Thief. Helen got some plant seeds and started to grow some boxing plants, which were ten feet in an instant. Flare turned into a grizzly bear and attempted to penetrate Thief’s neck scales so we could get a good shot. I threw some rocks at Thief, but each one exploded. Only one didn’t, but nothing happened to Thief, either. She swung her spiky tail in my direction, but I put rocks on the poisonous needles, only making some rocks brush against me. I smiled and flicked some rocks at her fairly weak looking front talons, hoping that they weren’t invincible.
They were.
Why did the lich dragon even make Thief, knowing she would kill countless dragons and humanoids, including him? That was just wrong. Anyways, back to the battle.
Thief was the best fighter I had ever fought. But still-she’s evil.
Her sharp talons came down on me and I suddenly felt an immense pain in my right shoulder. I collapsed to the ground, and I sensed my friends coming to help me. I closed my eyes(not that it made much of a difference) and a voiceless scream was visibly showing.
“You humanssss are nnoott woorrrth it. Be reeeaaddyy, ffoorr the battttlllee isssssss tommmorrrrrrow……..” She hissed, and then flew up into the air.
The lich dragon gave her his voice!
I was gasping for air, lying on the ground, my friends surrounding me. The nice boy who praised me was ordered to bring me to the hospital wing with a few of his companions. My hand rose for a few moments, I was attempting to point one finger at Helen-she could help. But it fell down beside me. I was lifted onto a stretcher, but then my eyes rolled into my head and I fainted.
When I woke up, I heard the voices of my friends.
“Helen, use the herbs!”
“I’m looking I’m looking!”
I frowned at the worry in their voices, then felt where I was hit. It was pretty much a hole. Thank goodness it was only in my shoulder. But I was also surprised to feel that the hole went through me-all the way to my back. This really wasn’t good.
I suddenly felt a bit of life sparking into me-it was Helen’s herbs!
“Thanks.” I mumbled. My shoulder wasn’t all better, but I could fight. I slowly got up and frowned as I felt shoes instead of ground. I bent down and took them off, smiling when my bare feet hit the ground.
“How long have I been out?” I said, wishing I could look out the window.
“It’s afternoon. We have some time to train-apparently we’re being attacked tomorrow.” Flare stated.
“Yeah. I can bet that there will be some sea serpents, so I’d better make use of my surf board, and if I fall off, I had better learn how to cause a lot of offense as a dolphin.”
“I had better get more knowledge of guns so that I can cause ultimate damage.” Brit admitted.
“While I practice Earthbending!” I said with a smile. They all nodded, and Helen carefully patted my back. We went to the training area and I knew I was being stared at.
“She’s supposed to be dead!”
“Only powerful magic could heal that wound!” I was pretty sure Helen heard that and was proud, so I just smiled and went to an Earthbending ring. There was only one other person there-Sergeant Pickles.
“You’re an Earth Bender?” I asked shakily. He must’ve nodded, because Sergeant Pickles didn’t reply.
“I thought I was the only one. I guess I was wrong.”
“I guess you were.” I mumbled, and just started with the basics, moving large rocks. Then I started with the Metalbending, and then Sandbending, and I even did a little Woodbending. I was pretty sure Sergeant Pickles couldn’t do it, because I heard him gasp every time I did something like that. When I was done the sky was pitch black. I was about to go to a clock to find out what time it was, but I remembered that I wouldn’t be able to see the clock, and I walked over to the sleeping quarters to ask my friends what time it was. I think Brit had a watch. When I got in, they welcomed me with open arms.
“What time is it?” I asked, tired.
“1:21 am. You should get some sleep. We should, too, but we were waiting.” Blue told me. I smiled and crawled into my bed, closing my eyes to the ticking of Blue’s Analog clock.
The sky was soaring past me, or I was soaring through it. I was angry as one could get. A bunch of pesky humans had attacked me, and that really made my mood sad and angry! I would command the fight and it would occur very soon! I blew fire at every bird I saw, and burned every village in sight. I think I destroyed a place called.. “Manhattan”. I didn’t really care what I destroyed, though. I was angry as a dragon that was created from anger could possibly be!
When I got back to headquarters, I blew fire at a dragon who wanted to give me a hot towel. Only sissies used hot towels to calm themselves! My eyes narrowed at everything, and I had banished the general’s advisers. I didn’t care how useful in a battle they were, because I didn’t need any help-I was thoroughly invincible!
“Everyone! Weeee attack at 5:30 am-get to work-it’sssss ssssoon!” I screeched into the nearest microphone I could find. I flicked a little cockamouse that was in my way, killing it. But they were common creatures, and I would have them all could if I could.
Therapists had told me to calm the mind, but it didn’t need calming! It would never need calming! I was perfectly calm! I really wanted to banish them, but I thought on how they could be useful in a war. So I made them soldiers-they will distract the humanoids while the real dragons to what we were planning the whole time. It would be the greatest feat that the reptilians would ever hear of!
I fiddled a bit with my new collar, wanting to take it off, but not really wanting to lose the awesome style of spikes. This blind little girl in a way had done us both a large favor.
“Russssttton, remind me to thank the little blind girl.”
“Whatever you say, Hope Thief.”
I smiled and walked past my personal adviser. He understood my anger, so therefore I would not banish him. I might lock him in prison, though. Everyone might backstab me, like I backstabbed the general. Literally. But now I didn’t care.
I would destroy the continent of Xanth.
5:30 am, January 8, 74328481034
I woke up, sweat streaming down my back. That was one bad dream. I went over to Blue’s bed and shook her roughly, “BLUE! WHAT TIME IS IT???!!!” I yelled into her ear.
“Wha-? 5:30 am, go to sleep.”
“5:30? We’re about to be attacked! Beware of the Therapists!”
“The Therapists? Wait-attacked?” Blue got up, and shook up Brit, Helen, and Flare while I paced around the room. When they wanted to know what happened, I told them about my dreamlike vision, and Brit instinctively grabbed her phone, while Helen went for her pouch.
“Good thinking guys, let’s go warn everyone!”
We raced out of our sleeping quarters, and got to about two miles when I heard an explosion. I felt the earth all the way back to camp. Everything was blown up.
“It has begun.” I whispered, but I knew that it had ended. For the countless bodies lying dead. But not for us. We would destroy Thief. She murdered and she was a cold blooded killer. Heck, Thief’s heart could beat ice in a cold contest! She was a murderer, a destroyer, and killer, a hope thief! But that was her purpose in life, and now I was pretty sure I knew mine.
“We have to kill Hope Thief.”
My friends’ feet had backed away from me for a few moments before getting closer.
“Did I just hear you say that we are going to kill Hope Thief? The evilest dragon in the world? The killer of civilization? The cold blooded murderer?” Helen demanded.
“You heard her right. I agree totally, but I’m gonna have to say I’m pretty scared.” Flare reluctantly admitted.
“I agree.” Brit confessed.
“Don’t you dare look at me! Ah, okay, I agree.” Blue said with a fake sad face. They laughed, but I didn’t.
“What just happened?” I asked, clueless.
“Blue just made a funny face.” Brit informed me.
“Oh. Okay. Let’s fight!” I yelled.
And almost on queue, Thief appeared, roaring like crazy. I threw a rock into her mouth, but the dragoness crunched it up and swallowed. Then I noticed that she was a distraction. Dragons were walking around us and they were going to do what they just did to the rest of the continent.
“Helen, you go to the forest dragons and take care of them! Blue, sea serpents will be taking out beach cities-I know you’ve been practicing. Brit, go for the storm dragons, they won’t stand a chance against you. Flare, I need you to just stop any dragon you see, go in every direction if you can!” I managed to say while dodging tail strikes from Thief, “This dragon’s mine.” My friends all left and I forced the rocks to crush her front talons. Thief didn’t show the slightest hesitation as she attacked me.
“Aaa noble move, bbuuut you won’t ssssttttaaannddd a chancccceee againsssssst mee…” She roared before leaping at me, roaring like a crazy maniac would roar. Maybe that’s because she is a crazy maniac.
I sidestepped her jump and put my hand on her head for just a moment. I took it off and jumped really far back before Thief could get a chance to kill me. She blew black fire and it went right past me. I was lucky. I didn’t know where fire was… I got behind Thief and, making sure not to touch her poisonous spikes, I got on her tail. But it swung so strongly, I was flung off of her tail and to the ground.
I got up, a bit dazed, and felt that Thief was in front of me, and a claw was coming down fast. Time seemed to slow down as I jumped into the air, sending a shower of really small rocks into Thief’s face. It wasn’t much, and I felt blood running down my back-she had gotten me. But apparently I had gotten her.
Thief was screaming in agony, and there was a tiny rock in her red eye. Of course! But that didn’t mean she was done. My only chance was in the water…
While Thief was busy screaming, I ran with a limp over to the lake and dived in, closing my eyes as blood was sucked out of my body from the current. So this is it? Apparently it wasn’t. Something nudged me, and then swam under me until I was in a riding position-it was Blue! I smiled, and pointed in the direction I thought was up. Blue swam to the surface, and we were greeted by Thief’s tough face. There was a trickle of blood coming from her eye, and I immediately knew I had to get the other one. Thief roared and her jaws came down on us, but as her face got closer, I threw my rock bracelet with force into her left eye.
“Nooo! Thisssss cann’tttt bbbeee happppening tooo meeeeee!!!!!” Thief roared in agony, and her wings stopped flapping, and she fell into the water. Then she attempted to swim, but Thief’s whole body was powered down.
Blue swam to shore, then transformed into a human, but in her normal clothes, not the boy outfit. No wrapping. I felt the vibrations that she made to see if Blue was okay. I felt that her leg was twisted at a painful looking angle, and I guessed that her face was scrunched in pain, because Blue wasn’t talking.
Soon Flare, Brit, and Helen came over, and apparently they all had injuries.
“There were too many….” Helen said shakily.
“I couldn’t hold ‘em off.” Flare told me, sitting down.
“They blew up everything…….” Brit said, half crying.
“Shh…It’s over now, guys.” Blue said, trying to calm them.
“No, it’s not. It may seem like it’s over, but we can still fight. Fight for what we believe in. Are you with me?” I stuck my hand out, and soon felt the weight of my friends’ hands coming on top of it.
“We’ll fight to our dying breath.”
