I sat on the grass next to the lake, my hands over my lap. I stared at the lake reflecting the blood-red sunset, it was as beautiful as always, it was always nice. I closed my eyes, resting.

I dried my tears and waved my hand over the iris message, causing it to fade into nothing. I sat on my bunk looking at nothing, waiting for nothing, feeling like nothing. Xavier walked in the door with his ipod in. He walked over to his bed and span around finally noticing me. "You okay?" He asked taking out his ear-buds. "Yeah, Um...I'm fine. I-I think i'm gonna go watch the sunset." I said sniffing. I stood up and ran out the door. "Ari wait-" He said as I slammed the door shut. I ran down to the lake, needing the comfort of my father, someone who understood me. I saw the water glistening with canoes docked at the peer. Getting closer I noticed someone laying in the grass. I think her name is Heather, from Demeter. I walked up slowly behind her, noticing her eyes were closed. I sat crossed legged next to her. "Hey. " She said without opening her eyes. "How did you know-" "Ground vibrations." She said sighing like she'd said it millions of times. "Um, are you okay?" "So now you can read emotions through the ground also?" She chuckled softly brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. "No, I'm not a daughter of Gaea. I heard you sniffing the whole way down here." She said smirking slightly. "You wanna talk about it?" "I'm fine. Honestly." I said laying back, watching the sun fall slowly behind the lake. "Whatever..." She sighed.
