Ivy randomly through a rock in the water, bored out of her mind. She wasn't really likeing camp. Everyone here had been here for ages. They had already struck up friendships, formed their own groups. She just felt out of place, an outsider. Unfortunatly, she was the only new camper too. "Why'd you send me here Mom?"She muttered. "The girls are so outgoing, and me? I'm the kid in the corner who doesn't fit in."She wanted to leave, to run away. But where to? Monsters would follow. She could be killed, so leaving was out of the question. But staying didn't seem like an appealing option either.

"You know soaking doesn't help." I said sitting down next to Ivy. I had been walking to Archery practice when I heard her talking to herself. "Look, I know exactly how you feel. We were all new once. I've only been here for a month. When I first came it seemed like all the girls were already in cliques, and all the guys were out of my league. But I soon found out, that that's not true. The people here are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I always knew I was different. The night before I came, I wished on a shooting star that I could go to a place where everyone was just like me, and they would except me for me. It sounds childish for a 14 year old...but here I am."

Ivy smiled. "Yeah, thanks. Guess I probably should give it a little while. Thanks Arianna."

"Yeah, thanks. I'd appreciate it. I guess I'm not really the outgoing type."Ivy replied.

"I know, and I want to, it's just.......I don't know."Ivy sighed, and looked back at the water. "Ever since my dad died, I've become more independent, not really hanging out with anyone. Then I found camp. Maybe it's time for me to leave my past behind, and start a new life, at camp."Ivy murmered, not really intending for anyone to hear.

"You should start a new life. I'm sure your dad would want you to. I thought I couldn't start over either. But I did. Ivy i've been through a lot too. The only family I have left is Apollo. And i've never even met him before. My mom and step-dad are dead, and my big brother was convicted with murder of my 2 little sisters. So I rely on my friends. They pretty much are my family. I have to go to practice. I'll catch you later...bye?"

At that moment, I decided to jump out from my tree. "So, you're new? I'm Summer, daughter of Zeus. Nice to meet you...Ivy, is it?"
