Calli sat down in a chair and stared at all the tubes of pretty paint. There was orange, purple, blue, pink, red, yellow, red, black, brown and green. Her favorite color was yellow so that is what she would start with. She took out a giant piece of paper and dipped her hand into the yellow paint and started to draw a sun. When her sun was finished she realized that she had yellow paint all over her. In her hair, on her face, and on her favorite pink dress. She will just have to wash up later, she thought. She dipped her other hand in the pretty blue and started to spread it around the sun to make a sky.

Taylor skipped into the room. "Hey Calli!" she said when she saw her painting. She looked at the picture. "That's really pretty." she said and sat next to her. "Can I paint with you?" she asked.

Calli smiled, "Thank you! And yes, you can paint with me!" she said as she passed some of the paints to her.

"Cool." she said and smiled. She grabbed a piece of paper and ried to decide what to paint. She decided she would just use the paints and end up with what she got. She took some purple paint and painted a flower, then took some green and made a stem.

Calli smiled at Taylor's picture, "You paint very good," she looked back at her picture and decided she wanted to have a beach in the picture. She dipped her hand into the blue again with paint going up her wrists and spread paint all over the bottom of her paper. (I REALLY WANT TO FINGER PAINT RIGHT NOW.  LOL) |

(lol  My moms an art teacher and she has these camps that I help her teach and I normally end up doing the art work and not helping but I got to finger paint with all these cute eight year olds.) "So do you." she told her looking at the pretty beach that was in Calli's picture. Taylor changed her mind about what to paint and grabbed another piece of paper. She dipped her hand in the green paint and started to paint some grass. Then she dipped her other hand in the brown and painted a tree. |

Calli nodded, "Let me get some more paints so we wont run out," she said and went and got a whole more thing of paints. "Now we can use two colors at once," she said setting them down on the table and sitting back down.

"Cool!" she said joining them "I'm gonna draw us fighting a monster!" she declared and then added a little more peacefully "Or maybe a pretty birdy, I can't decide"

"I love birdys too!" Calli said smiling. "I'm drawing this picture for the gods.. the sun is for my daddy and the ocean is for po-see-done and the sky is for SUUS." She dipped her hand in the pink and drew a heart. "That is for Efro-dite" she said as she started to draw little things on the picture for each of the gods.

"Those are good ideas." Taylor said smiling. "Do you mind if I do the same as you Calli? Or do you not want me to copy you?" she said in a small voice hoping she wouldn't affend Calli.

Calli giggled, "Oh. I vote for the birdy!! Birdies are soo cute" "You guys can paint for the gods too!" she said with a big smile on her face.

"Thank you. I'm with Calli. You should paint a dove for Af-ro-di-tee. That's what I'm doing." Taylor said smiling as she started on the dove. "I've never met my mom but I know she's really, really pretty."

"I want to meet my daddy so bad," she said in a very quiet whisper and looking down at the sun on the paper and got the black paint and started to paint little musical notes in the air in between the ocean and the sky on the picture.
