"And I'll have you know I don't care whose protection your under." Crystal shot back, just as sweetly as before. "And I also don't care that your darling protector will probably kill me now." She added in the same sickly sweet tone as she smiled at the bird, somehow managing to look unbelievably like someone who wanted the other to lose their temper and petty in a sweet way at the same time.

"Good little bird, you were smart enough not to reply." Crystal said in the weird sweet tone she used only on people and/or animals she disliked instantly for no reason. You know, those people. But she let a hint of a threat into her voice. But you'd have to have, like, supersonic ears to notice it.

Crystal stopped using her sweet voice and replied in her normal tone. "Dunno. Hate birds. Always had. Never knew why, though. I can get along great with just about any other animal."
