Layla walked onto her balcony and smiled at the night sky on her 15 birthday. What could ruin this? She wondered. She thought if Jake and the thought made her smile. Was this love? She didn’t know. She shrugged it off and drifted away to her own little world, but brought back to Earth by the sound of her step-mother’s screaming. “Cheyenne?” she said. She ran downstairs to see her step-mother cornered by some monster. A monster? What the fudge? Monsters don't existe!” Part of herself thought. The other part was yelling, You see it right in front you idiot! Not knowing what she was thinking, she grabbed a steak knife from the kitchen and yelled, “Hey cow butt!! Time to get barbecuedd!” The monster turned on her a growled. It looked like a really, really, really big dog. Probably win the ugliest and biggest dog in the world contest. She jumped on the counter and jumped into the air and grasping the chandelier. Swinging the dog looked around for her. When it’s back was under her she let go and dropped onto the dog. Hellhound. The word popped into her head. WHAT?! THE?! FUDGE?! Finally working the courage to stab the dang creature, she threw her hand down on the neck but topped right before she stabbed it. Staring into it’s eyes, she didn’t have the heart to murder it. She whispered in it’s ear, “I won’t kill you, if you won’t kill my family.” It looked like the hellhound understood her and nodded. She got off the hellhound and the hellhoud dissapeared. “Go.” She heard the voice of her father. She spun around. “Ride that hellhound to California.” “We live in Texas.” “GO.” He said and hugged her. “Layla. Take this.” He handed her a dagger. Dei. He then pushed hr out the door and there was the hellhound. “We are going to some demi-god camp in Californa.” I said as I got on her. She started to run. I would name her, Amare. Love. She turned around and watched her house dissapear from view.
