Shade had been hearing the voice for a long time now. He had decided to abide to it's conditions. To tell him of his past and to break the walls on his memory that Pluto himself had erected. Shade had to know his history. Even if it meant this.
He entered the Wolf House. "Ignite." It was half of the incantation for summoning the swords his father had given him. Ignite was his short sword. It appeared floating in it's sheathe. A black aura flickering around it. He slid it out and sliced at the back of his hand, allowing the blood to drip three times. A black flame flashed across the cut, searing it closed. It hurt. But it was fine. His calm words echoed through the room.
"I turn my back on the demigods and gods. My father." He spat out 'father'. "I pledge myself to Gaea, and the destruction of Olympus."

I appeared out of my tent at someone's voice. I smirked when I saw it was Shade. "Aaron Shade, son of Pluto? You've made the right choice, joining us." Then, testing his skills, I suddenly flashed out my knife, aiming for his throat.

He looked up, his flecked hazel eyes studying the girl. Her sudden attack surprised him. He ducked the blade and flipped onto his hands, flames dancing on his shoes as he kicked out at the hand with the weapon to disarm her. Gaea had given him control over his powers. Why had she when her father didn't? It was simple. Pluto thought of him as trash. He didn't want him. Shade didn't want him either. He agreed with Summer. He had made the right choice.

My knife flew out of my hand. I caught it easily with my other hand before turning to Shade again. I had a smile on my face. "Not bad."

Shade looked at the girl, studying her. Looks like she knew about him for some time. She even knew his name. He nodded in thanks at her praise.

I held out a hand, offering him to shake it. "I'm Summer. We knew you were going to join us soon."

Shade nodded in greetings, taking her hand. A voice laughed out loud, echoing.
He does not speak much, but he is skilled. I saw potential in him, so I awakened his full powers, since his father wouldn't.
Shade clenched his teeth at the mention of Pluto, but remained silent at Gaea's words.

Shade knew that, but he didn't reply. The Earth Titan formed herself out of the ground, materializing in her human form. Shade bowed quickly. He was wary of her. She had better be telling the truth about Dodge and his past. He needed both.

Krissie appeared out of the shadows. She'd been leaning against what remained of the Wolf House's rubble, watching the conversation silently. She bowed respectfully to Gaea, then turned to Shade, her eyes scanning him over, but showed mild interest. Krissie nodded, but didn't show any other emotion.

Shade looks at the girl that comes in. He nods back in greetings to her. When it came to meeting new people. The quiet one's brought him relief. He was a shy type of person. Strong physically. Weak at heart. Perfect for Gaea.

"Gaia, my lady. Should, ah, we take him to the training grounds?" Gaia nodded. Her blank earthy eyes were still fixed on Shade. "Well, come on then," I said, breaking the awkward silence. I turned and disappeared behind the ruins of the wolf house, not waiting for him to follow me.

Shade bows to Gaea, who nods in consent to her request. Shade follows after her to the training grounds.
