I laughed a little at his cautiousness. I put my knife back in it's sheath, then held my hands up. "See? No surprise attacks." My eyes watched him in case he attacked. I still knew Martial Arts and Karate, so I was good without a weapon too. And since they trained you so hard here...

Shade nodded slowly, then held out his swords in front of him. As he released them, they stayed floating in the air. He didn't need an incantation to make them appear or disappear anymore. The swords began to smoke, and they turned into ashes that evaporated into the air.

I smiled and patted him on the shoulder twice. "That was good. The camps won't stand a chance." As I said that, I felt a twinge of guilt. It had been my home for what- nine years? And to destroy the campers...my eyes hardened. I've made my decision. I can't turn back now.

Shade looked up at Summer. So she had some hesitation too. It was human to feel guilt. Shade wasn't sure if he could kill a camper.

I stepped back again. I shot a glance at Krissie, as if to say, Is he done? Or do you want to fight him?

Shade looked back as Summer and Krissie communicated silently. He fidgeted nervously. Was he done or was there more?
