She knew it would have happened sooner or later. She had a pretty bad past. She was a member of the branch family, never stringer than the main family. Just the child of a demigod. She shamed her father. And she never won. Her parent was Nike, goddess of victory. But Izumi knew no victory.
Her name fit her kindness. She was weak at heart and an easy target. But she had changed since she had gone to camp. She had made friends. And it was her cause to protect them. There was no way she wouldn't devote herself to protecting Camp Half Blood.
When Gaea asked her to join, she readily agreed. To meet her at the Wolf House was the plan. She would be a spy. Try to kill a follower or two or even injure Gaea if she had the perfect chance. She had no intention of betraying her friends.
Jade walked in and looked around. Her shy side was still there. She stepped in timidly, looking for anyone. So this was the Wolf House. It was in ruins.

Krissie heard footsteps. It was hard not to, the soft sound of a young girl walking in. It didn't matter the age, as long as they could fight. Krissie watched, leaning on the crumbling wall of the Wolf House. The girl looked asian. Ten or eleven, one of those non-talkative types.
Krissie didn't care. She stepped out of the shadow and walked towards the girl. When she was about a yard away from her, she stopped, and looked the girl over. She supposed Gaea asked her to join. The earth goddess had said she'd recruited a young girl, Japanese, by the name of...
"Atsuko Izumi, right?" Krissie said, looking bored.

"Y-yes, um, pleased to meet you, De Arimasu. Please call me Jade, De Arimasu." Izumi had a special way of talking. A habit of adding a Japanese phrase to the end. It meant that whatever she said was formal and polite. Izumi bowed quickly to the girl. She was wary of the soldiers of Gaea. But they couldn't see through her. Nike had given her a victory blessing. Until she tried to attack Gaea or do something to betray her, they wouldn't find out.

Krissie narrowed her eyes. There was something off about her, but the daughter of Poseidon didn't feel the need to worry about it now. "I don't know what that means and really don't give a damn," she stated. Krissie knew some of most languages, but didn't know that particular Japanese phrase. "Alright," she said. "Follow me." Krissie was going to test this Jade girl, even if Krissie was a full six years older. If she could last at least a minute, then Krissie would leave her be. If she didn't...

"U-um, yes." Jade replied in surprise. She was nervous. Many treated her this way, so she was unfazed. She was one who took orders. Always had been. Jade followed after her quickly.

Krissie stopped at the training grounds and turned around. She was, of course, taller than Jade. "We test every new recruit," she explained. "So let's see what you're made of-" Without warning, Krissie flashed out her sword at Jade's mid-section then brought it up quickly without hesitation to slash at her face.

Jade hadn't been expecting training. What happened next surprised her. But her father had trained her reflexes by doing this before. Krissie was fast. Jade jumped backward just in time. A small cut on her eyebrow welled up. It didn't bothe Izumi. It was just a tiny cut that would stop bleeing soon.
Izumi drew her sword carefully, holding out her katana before her in a defensive stance. The sword was a gift from Nike. It's bright silver blade had a pattern of a golden laurel branch in it for victory.

Krissie took a step back. "Good reflexes," she muttered, half to herself. Then she stood still and waited for Jade to make the next move.

Izumi had always been told to be polite when fighting. Give the person the first move. When your opponent refuses to budge, don't make them wait. She sprang forward gracefully fast. She had a small figure, which made speed her main attribute. She turned in the air for a time lapse before bringing her sword with both hands to slash at her side.

"Hey, Krissie, I-" I cut off when I saw what she was doing. I went to stand under the shade under some clusters of trees, watching them fight.

Krissie did what she always does when she wanted to take the easy way out. {Usually when I'm just confused about how the other person attacked lol}. She promptly vanished and then reappeared.

Just as she disappeared, Jade landed on the ground where Krissie was before. She spotted her reappearing. How did she do that? Jade sprang off the ground and landed to the side of Krissie, slashing her sword and turning, using the speed and the strength of the turn to make her weak swings stronger. She was still a little girl, after all. She aimed for side.

Krissie whirled around at that moment and her blade met Jade's. It was unfair, after all, Krissie was 17 and Jade was only 11. But Krissie never played fair. She knew, if she tried, she could easily force Jade's blade back against the little girl's throat and kill her that way, but what fun was that? Gaea didn't really need new recruits, they would outnumber the greeks and romans back at CHB anyway, but Krissie figured her mistress wouldn't be all too happy if she found out Krissie killed one of the new recruits.
Becase of that, Krissie jumped backwards, pulling Daemon, her sword, back away from pressing against Jade's sword.

The wonderful thing about the Katana was, it was a one sided bladed edge. She grabbed the non bladed edge with her left arm, bladed edge facing outward, and pushed back. When Krissie moved back, Jade jumped after her persistently, stabbing her sword forward at her head.

I blinked. Jade was doing surprisingly well for a- what- eleven year old girl? And the fact that Krissie had more training and experience, I was sure Krissie would beat her. But for now, I just watched them, slightly smirking.
