His eyes were cold. Stony green eyes. His hair raged, cut sloppily by a old friend. Fist tight, wrapped around his new sword. Feet silent, as he approached the place rumored to be Gaea's. Their first attack had been brutal, and made him see what he must do. When a friend is beheaded while fighting by you, nothing remains the same. When you end the day covered in blood that isn't even yours, you know it's not good. His clothing was clean, black jeans white shirt. New. A gift from one who died. Alec fought to surpress the anger, the hatred he felt. No, this will be the moment he will make things right, he will join Gaea.

Shade was leaning against the wall, waiting for him. Gaea always kept her soldiers updated. In this case, the others were busy. And Shade had been available. Even though he was quite a newbie. He stood upright as Alec approached. "Alec Matthews, son of Dionysus. I'm Shade, son of Pluto." Shade greeted him with a calm expression, but the same gentle eyes he always had. He wasn't a person who liked fighting. Gaea had given him Alec's name and godly parent already. He had remembered it well.

Alec's eyes narrowed. "And what do you want?" he demanded wondering why such a young boy was speaking to him. Didn't the boy know he could slit his throat on the spot?

Krissie walked out of the shadows, hands in her pockets. What she didn't show was the tiny bomb in her pocket that if she clicked the button, would go off in two seconds. "He's greeting you," she said sarcastically. "Everyone else is doing something. I just finished giving a new recruit a tour. Now he's scared to death of me, by the way."

Shade smiled at his hostility, not fazed by it at all. It was a small smile. A gentle one that gave away nothing. "I don't want anything from you, sir. Sorry if I offended you. But if you're here to join, isn't it you who wants something?"
He turned around at Krissie's voice. What was she talking about? Everyone here was pretty terrified of her. She was one of Gaea's too soldiers. But Shade found her personality alright. She was just more...isolated. "Ah, Krissie...it's fine. I'll show him around. You don't have to trouble yourself."

Alec snorted at Krissie's words "I wonder how anyone could be scared of you," Alec didn't feel any fear towards the girl. If he needed to escape he could sink into the ground and appear somewhere else with plants. So it didn't matter if she threw fifty daggers at him. "Yeah, how do you join?" he asked Shade shifting positions. The boy seemed to innocent to be here, was it really wise for him to join, or be recruited?

Shade turned to look at Alec in the eyes for the first time. His hazel eyes flashed for a second, clouding black. A hard rock black. It reflected the darkness inside the deepest shadows. The lonely and empty blankness that resembled madness. His eyes had a crazy light made for killing. It was only for a second though. Shade blinked and turned away. He smiled gently to shrug it off. It was as if another demon was living inside of him. Gaea had brought it out. And Shade was afraid of it. Afraid of himself. His eyes were long turned back to hazel. So what were they talking about..? Oh, yes! "Eh? If you want to join, go give yourself to Master Gaea. Blood sacrifice and the pledge. Don't think you know it yet, do you? Did she ever talk to you?" That's how Shade had known what to do and the pledge beforehand. The nightmares from her had plagued him until he had joined.

"No surprise she wastes her times sending out messages," he felt like saying. But he swolled his anger. If he was going to do this, he would do this right. "No, so how do you begin?" he asked the boy ignoring how his eyes flickered. They are all mad, no surprise...

Shade looked up, tilting his head. So he had come to join out of his own will. Interesting. Took no pursuasion. He wondered why he joined them. "You have a weapon, sir?"

Narrowing his eyes Alec had half his mind to hiss. What's with the 'sir'? It was getting annoying. Pulling out a dagger he clicked the tip to have it extend. The blade split into two colors, silver and ivy. A emerald on the hilt. It was nice, a gift. From another dead. But his thoughts didn't linger on that. "Dagger I guess..."

Shade nodded and pointed to the pool in the middle of the ruins of the Wolf House. "Give Gaea some of your blood. Say what you like. 'I pledge my self to Gaea and the destruction of Olympus or whatever.' Then your job is pretty much done." Shade explained it. It was a simple process. His face was calm, the smile long gone now.

Alec's green eyes narrow and he puts his dagger to his skin. Making a mental note he pierced the light apricot skin, red blood dripping down his wrist. "I pledge myself to Gaea and the destruction of Olympus," he spoke in a cold fearless voice. If any emotion was shown, it will be determination. Yes, I will do this right. And I will help end this...

"You're done." The earth shook once. Shade walked up behind Alec, watching the water mix with the scarlet drops. Then they dispersed into the clear pool. He looked up at Alec. Then he turned around to Krissie, his soft and quiet voice directed to her. "I can take care of his training for you. I'm sure I can handle it. Unless you really want to."

Alec's eyes narrowed. As he forced back the harsh words that wanted to seep out.

Shade glanced at Alec. What was he so bitter for? He seemed like a good person to be training with right now. He looked like he wanted to release all his frustration out. "Unless you want to choose...I'm not that weak, if that's what you're thinking.." Shade studied him. Was it just because he looked younger than him?

Letting some bitter venom out he hissed "It's not the fact your weak that displeases me, we can train." and not waiting for a reply the scenerly changed. Or at least to Shade and Alec is should have. The cold and bitter surroundings reflecting what Alec felt, the illusioned wind whipping around them. "So do you wish to begin?"

I yawned as I walked into the clearing, hearing voices. Krissie, Shade, and...I froze, my eyes wide and fully awake. I raced past the corner. Yep. It was Alec.
"Alec?" I realized that they were about to train and took a step back. Why would Alec join...?
