My eyes flashed. I didn't know this Alec. When I talked to him in the battle, he seemed confident and loyal to the camps, but now... "Believe what you want," I said casually.

I didn't let his words get to me. This guy was the complete opposite of the Alec I knew before. "Well, we are now, again," I said coldly.

"Ahaha." Shade smiled, breaking into the argument. His soft laugh dusted the air. "Please don't fight. We're all allies here. Even if you knew each other before, we're supposed to be working together with the best of our abilities, right?"

Shade turned to watch her leave. As she disappeared, he let out a small sigh. "You people are terrifying when you're mad, you know." He turned back to Alec. "Let's start before any more interruptions, yes? You can take the first move."

Alec shrugged "fear is another illusion. Another wall that traps the truth," changing the scene to a rainforest he let the fight begin. A real plants working with the illusion as a vine shot out to hit Shade. Alec in the meanwhile disappeared through the plants. His blade hidden in the shadows as he watched Shade's reaction from behind.
