Lorelei
I stood in front of Gaia hesitantly. I didn't know if she'd still accept me after what I had done in the battle. My uneven fiery orange hair blocked my mismatching eyes and most of my face.
I had let Jasper go. He had given me a chance to kill him, but I had refused.
My eyes met Gaia's. I would accept my punishment.

Punishment...Gaea had told him that she had wanted all her soldiers to see what would happen to a traitor. What did Shade think about it? He wasn't too sure...
Izumi watched with worried eyes. She stood beside Shade, feeling her anger boil at Gaea. As a spy that no one knew about for Camp Half Blood, she had known Lorelei for some time. And now she was going to be punished for doing to the right thing?

Lorelei
I bowed, my head down. I heard Gaia say, "Get up, demigod."
I stood up and looked Gaia in the eyes. Her eyes were brown and endless.
"In the battle..." Gaia began. "You had a chance. You could have killed that Jasper boy. He even discarded his weapon!" Her voice rose.
"But I-" I started to protest.
"Quiet!" Gaia snapped. "You do not speak unless I tell you to. Is that understood?"
I nodded. "Yes, ma'am."
"You blocked my voice. You betrayed us by letting him go. More of us could be alive right now if it weren't for him. Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." I didn't answer.
"You have one more chance. One more chance to prove your loyalty to me." I nodded quickly. "Anything, ma'am."
Gaia smirked. "To prove your loyalty to us, you must kill one of your friends from camp."
Shock shone in my eyes. "But, my lord-"
"Quiet! You did say you would do anything, didn't you?" Gaia replied.
"I-" I sighed and hung my head. "Yes. Yes, your highness."
Oh my gods...I can't believe I'm doing this...
"Erm, who, my lady?" I forced my voice to remain strong.
Gaia smiled. "Jasper Crestel."
