Shade found himself being spun around. He glared at Terry coldly with hazel eyes. Then he found a punch rammed into his stomach. Shade dropped to his knees with a painful gasp. He looked up at Terry in shock.

Terry glared down at him. "You're going to wait for us to pack our things, and you'll stop being so cold! How much did you put us through, disappearing with Gaea? And when you're finally back, you give us the cold shoulder? Wake up!"

Shade held onto his burning stomach. He stood up slowly, glaring up at Terry.
"Don't tell me what to do! And I'm sorry for being selfish because Gaea towed me away!"
He said sarcastically.

"What was that?" Terry grabbed him by the front of his shirt, pulling him up to his face. "What, are you saying you had no fault in joining Gaea? Are you saying that the made us worry over you day and night wasn't you?"

Shade looked away. his hazel eyes narrowed as he took in his words.
"Shut up, and let go!"
He pried open Terry's fingers. They were as hard as steel, so when he finally managed to get him to release him, Shade stumbled back. He didn't know what to say now. His eyes were brimming with guilt. Terry was right. He was being selfish.

Terry glared at Shade who refused to make eye contact like he had to Gaea. "Aaron Shade, you better begin to rethink the way you're treating us. You're not leaving here. You're going to deal with it. You're going to help us resist Gaea. And we'll help you with it. Do you understand?"

Shade's hazel eyes light up with fire. No one knew his full name but Terry. He hadn't told anyone before except for him. Now he had given it to Caroline. His name was proof that his dad didn't give a damn about him.
"Don't call me by that!"
Shade threw his fist out at Terry in a burst of anger.

Terry caught his fist calmly. He returned with his own punch back at him, catching Shade in the cheek and sending him backwards. "See? You're just an easily provoked kid who can't even deal with his past. You make me sick. Until you change the way you're acting, I don't want to see your face." Terry huffed and turned around, going into the cabin for the Romans.

Shade fell backwards onto the ground. He sat up with a glare at Terry. His words were like knives in his heart. He narrowed his hazel eyes, holding a hand to his already swelling cheek. He spat out some of the blood from his cheek getting cut against his teeth. He watched Terry walk back into the cabin. What had just happened?

Terry turned around, shaking off her arm as he went to the cabin. "I've had enough of him. That's not even the Shade I knew anymore. Just let me go. I don't want to see him." With that, he went into the cabin and shut the door.

Shade looked up as she passed him. Suddenly, he just couldn't take it anymore. His selfish action were so stupid. He stood up and grabbed her arm.
"Wait, Caroline. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I really am. Terry is right. I'm so stupid."
Suddenly hid eyes just manage tomfill with tears for no reason. They threaten to spill put but he wipes them away.

I turned to him in surprise. "Yes, you are." I paused for a moment, then hugged him. "I really miss how things were before Gaia."

Shade had nothing to reply to that because what she said was the truth. He pulled back and looked down, going back to his usual shy moments after a hug or a kiss. He still hadn't changed on the inside.
