Xylia completely forgot about Jacob when Shade came. A new, rather idiotic looking smile came across her face. "Hi!" she exclaimed brightly. "Who's Pluto?"

Oh yeah, she was a Greek. He didn't want to confuse her too quickly by telling her about the war and the Romans living here and all.

"Hihihihihi!" Xylia squealed. She sounded like a spoiled little girl who got a pony for Christmas. "I'm Xylia, and dwis is meh awesome fwuffly wittle tweddy bear, Moha!" She produced her torn stuffed animal for Alori to see.

Alori looked at the little girl and grinned. "Cool. So are you knew or did I miss something again," she laughed. Then nodded to Shade "Hey your a Roman. Cool. I've only meet Alyssa daughter of Zeus." she shrugged.

Jacob was frozen with fear, still in mid-crab walk. He slowly got up. He tried warning them; "Yeeeaaaa," he said through his teeth. "Xylia here just killed her family. Right?"

Shade's calm hazel eyes turned to look at Jacob. She was a daughter of Mania after all. Mad, quite mad. Shade looked at her cautiously. But he wasn't afraid. He knew what it was like to have chaos take over your brain to the point where thinking was impossible. It was dark and lonely in there. He was glad that wasn't his world. It had only been so for a few hours after the battle. Shade nodded to Alori, then put a reassuring hand on Jacob's shoulder. To balance him as well.
"That's a cute bear you have."
He didn't know what else to say.

Shade shot a look at him to be quiet. If he said that, the chances of confusion in her brain increasing was more likely now that he had said that. It was best to keep calm. She probably didn't even know what she was doing. There was no need to startle her. She could possibly do just as Jacob said. Go mad and attack randomly. They had to prevent that.

"No, you THOUGHT I was trying to kill you." Xylia pouted again. "Why dwoes evweewun here hate us, Mohie?" She talked to her teddy bear in a baby voice. "Oh yesh they do, oh yesh they do," she squealed, now completely forgetting about everyone else.

Shade took a small step forward in protest.
"Not everyone."
He wasn't scared of her. She just needed more precaution to be around. Okay, so it counted as being afraid. But at least he wasn't Jacob who had started crying. Shade knew what it was like to feel mad. He wondered if Xylia could be normal ever.

Jacob gulped. It felt like swallowing a whole apple. He figured out where Shade was going with this."I d-don't h-hate you either. You just scare the shit out of me." He said the last part so quiet she couldn't hear. He slowly steadied himself.

Shade looked back at Jacob with a small sigh. His last sentence he had heard. He was just glad she didn't hear his words. He wondered if this girl could ever act normally. Maybe he could start a conversation, but what to start with?

Xylia grinned again, as if she was trying to make every single tooth in her mouth visible. She hadn't heard the last sentence Jacob said, luckily, or else she would've gone on a random rant about...well, you could never tell. She'd probably start off about how NOTscary she was, then end up explaining why she hated dogs.
"Yay!" she cheered, throwing Moha in the air and then catching him.
