Shade said as he looked around. He wasn't really one to buy stuff.

I tried not to notice, but he looked cute, looking around. "Really?" I murmured. I touched his cheek gently to get his attention, then kissed him.

Shade turned around at Caroline's touch. When she kissed him, he was surprised again. He almost pulled back, but he didn't.

Shade reached over and held her hand. He walked pulled on her arm as they walked out of the store and into the street. The sun had gone down and the lights of the street were shining brightly.

I blushed as he took my hand, and followed him to the street. Since it was darker now, the streets were less crowded.

Shade walked down the street. Their hands were held. He felt a bit nervous. He wondered if she could feel his blood pounding. He looked from store to store, trying to relax at the sights of the street.

Shade was snapped out of his trance at her question.
"Huh? Oh."
Shade had to let go of her hand as he raised up his arm to look at his watch.
"Eight thirty."
Shade announced.

"Eight thirty..." I would remember this time, eight thirty, as the time when the city starts to sleep. It was quiet and peaceful now, with few cars on the roads.
