Shade smiled and walked out after her, hands in his pockets. His hazel eyes studied his surroundings. Then he caught the view. It was high...but beautiful...

I tugged on his arm. "Come on, let's go look over the edge!" I raced over and looked beyond the railing.

Shade followed reluctantly after her. He was kind of afraid she would fall over the edge, but the railing was too high for that. But the way sheleaned over to look so eagerly made him smile. He walked up to her side and looked out. "It's nice..."

I smiled. "Yeah...but the tiny cars make me a bit dizzy." Other than that, the view was amazing. I felt like I could see all of Paris from up here...

"Then don't focus in the cars." Shade advised simply. He leaned on the railing and looked at the rest of the buildings. They were tall, and he could see almost everything.

"Thanks, I'll be sure to remember that," I said sarcastically, smiling. The city lights below were the only things lighting up Paris besides the pale moon.

Shade gazed at the view for a while. Everything was going pretty well on this date. That made him happy. He turned to look at Carolineand admire her blue green eyes for a while.

I turned to see Shade looking at me, and blushed slightly. "So, um...what's your favorite color?"

Shade blinked at her question. He smiled slyly. "Black. But I also like sea green." He was referring to the color of her eyes.

I smiled. "Hazel's a cool color too. But besides that...blue."

Shade nodded, a satisfied smile on his face as he looked back out at the view again. "What are your hobbies?" He didn't know all he wanted to know about Caroline.

(I'm currently sneaking on. My mom's taken my iPod so I won't be on probably until Tuesday...-.-)
Caroline~ "Um...swimming, making new friends, fighting..." I trailed off. I really hadn't thought of my hobbies very much. "...Relaxing, reading...what about you?"

(Thats fine.)
"Um, I don't remember. But so far, I haven't developed any. Besides training and relaxing." Shade said after a moment of thinking.

"Hmm...do you play any sports?" I asked after a pause. "Or any instruments?" Probably useless stuff for a demigod, but I had no idea I even was a demigod until I came to the camps...

"No sports, or....I don't remember. Maybe I did. But Dodge taught me the reeds. We had nothing to do in our cabin when I was little other than train. So he made some reed pipes and I learned how."
Shade's eyes were sad and nostalgic. He remembered when his mentor first showed them to him. He had cut the reeds in different lengths and spent hours tying them properly and smoothing them. The melody that reached his ears when he first played...was that a fake memory? Or a real one?

"Oh," was all I managed to get out. My eyes shone with sympathy for him. He had told me before that his father had taken away his memories and sent him for Dodge to raise.

Shade blinked at her tone, realizing that he was ruining the mood. He turned to look at her eyes. They were sympathizing for him. He didn't want that. "Sorry. But it's a happy memory. It's one I cherish, that's what matters. It's nothing to be sad about."

I smiled slightly. "You don't have anything to be sorry for. And I guess so."

"Swimming, soccer, and is kickball a sport?" Huh. I had never really given kickball that much thought before, whether it was a sport or not... "And I play a little bit of guitar." I basically had a normal life until I suddenly appeared at the Roman camp, where I found out that I was a demigod.
