Shade laughed bitterly at Summer's words.
"Yeah, I guess that's it. We're not dead."
He wanted to go to the Wolf House and burn the whole base down. Maybe they could see if they had any more hope left. Maybe they could see what it was like being attacked.

Katie stumbled, coughing, out of a the infirmary splattered with blood. "Okay, there's a kid who's about 11, he's dying in there, and I don't know first aid. A little help?"

Katie waved Caroline over. "C'mon then."
Emmy forced her way out of the forest, shaking droplets of blood off her stygian iron sword. "I don't think there's anyone else in the forest," she announced. "But someone had better check again anyway, the last thing we want is some kid dying in there with no one around."

She nodded, stepping over dead bodies to reach the infirmary. So many people had been killed today... Before this war is done, they just might be able to wipe out the entire population of demigods.

Katie entered the infirmary. On a cot literally soaked with blood was a ebony haired, blue eyed son of Hermes (sorry Hermes  ) just barely breathing. He was cut all over, and there was a large, gaping wound on his stomach. Katie tried not to gag at the stench of blood. |

Caroline winced at the sight of the almost dead kid. She quickly took his hand and concentrated. She wasn't sure if she could do this, but it was life or death for the kid.

Katie frowned when she saw what Caroline was doing. "Wha-I didn't mean that! Don't waste your energy! Maybe some nectar and ambrosia..." she trailed off when Caroline already started concentrating. "Nevermind."

She didn't hear Katie. All the other sounds were muted slightly. Everything was a blur besides the Hermes kid. She could feel energy leaving her and into the Hermes kid. After a short while, she was beginning to feel dizzy again. She had already fainted once, and had used lots of energy for her powers against fighting Ace. The world was started to blur, but she didn't let go. Slowly, the cuts on the Hermes kid started to close. But not fast enough, to Caroline. She felt herself losing consciousness, but still didn't let go. The kid could die... Her skin paled, and she started to close her eyes. She felt so...sleepy.

Shade replied bitterly at the thought. Then he walks over to help some Apollo kids move some beds.

Katie, worried that Caroline would end up killing herself just to save the Hermes kid, promptly slapped her across the face. (xD) "The major wounds are already nearly healed, all we need is some nectar and ambrosia now!" she snapped.

Shade walked out of the nursery, feeling useless. He couldn't do anything to help. And when he tried to use some bandages, they turned out sloppy. Terry could still do that part. He couldn't. He blinked at Caroline and Katie helping a Hermes kid.
"Need help?"
He jogged up, luckily missing the slap.

Katie turned and smiled when she saw Shade. "Oh hey. You wouldn't happen to have any nectar, would you? Or...bandages...or...you know, anything. I kinda used mine up helping some other demigods...and...uh...yeah..." she finished awkwardly.

Shade blinked at her question. He reached in his pocket.
"Uh, I have bandages..."
He looked around, he hadn't brought his canteen of nectar. He tossed the roll to Katie, then shadow traveled out. He reappeared with nectar.
"Here."

Caroline glanced up at Shade sleepily, then offered, "I have some more at the cabin...don't know if it's destroyed or not, though." She took a baggie of ambrosia squares out of her back pocket. She always carried it around. "And this."
