Despite all the arguements, protests, and threatening, she still ended up here. Sure, Terra was injured, but she didn't see the point of being here.
She looked at her bandaged arm from the burns. She had rejected any nectar and ambrosia offered to her. She had snapped at an Apollo kid when he argued that she had lost a lot of blood and needed to regain her energy.
She didn't want to be reminded. She didn't want to remember why she had so many cuts that resulted in her loss of blood. The sword wounds were healing, nonetheless. And the scars would be the only thing that reminded Terra of her sister.

"You shouldn't push away the help. You need to heal." Shade sat down next to the new girl's bed. His gentle hazel eyes gazed at her silently and shyly before turning away to look at the floor. He murmered his greeting. "Shade, son of Pluto."

Terra glared grumpily at the kid. And who was he? What kind of odd name was that? And he was a son of Pluto? He looked like a shy kid that she could crush with some vines. "That's none of your bussiness." She snapped brattily.

Summer walked into the Infirmary, hesitantly at first, then smiled as she saw Terra. She had been told to go back to her cabin after Terra had been taken to the Infirmary. She didn't know why she was bothering so much about Terra. But now, new campers were extremely important, and the camps were in desperate need of them.
She approached Terra's bed, kneeling next to Shade. "Hey, Shade. Hi, Terra. Feeling better?"

Shade was kind of surprised by her reply. This one seemed really blunt and outgoing. He was trying to think of how to reply when Summer's voice greeted them.
"Hi, Summer." Shade turned and nodded to her.

"I'm feeling just fine" Terra replied sarcastically. "As fine as a person can feel after being caught up in that mess earlier." She crossed her arms like a child would. Her narrowed purple eyes staring at the two.

"Mess?" Shade asked, looking from Summer to Terra. He didn't know what was going on.

Summer shot Terra an exasperated look at her attitude, but didn't say anything. "Mess?" Her gaze shifted to Shade. Oh, yeah. He hadn't been there. "Terra, Terry, and I got in a...conversation with the Ace look-alike."

Terra broke in haughtily. "You guys aren't telling me anything! I really still don't get all this complicated stuff. What's going on? Who's Ace?" They seriously didn't expect her to trust them if they weren't telling her anything, right?

Summer turned to look at her at her comment. "Who's Ace?" She glanced at Shade for his reaction for what they should do. She didn't like talking about Ace.

"Well?" Terra crossed her arms impatiently, looking at the two. They both seemed a little uncomfortable. Well, she wanted to know.

"You met him again?" Shade blinked at the news. What did he want? Why did he keep popping up? He looked at Summer.
Then Terra asked the question and he winced. He looked at Summer who was looking at him. "He was Gaea's first son," he finally sighed, "but he betrayed her to join us to help defeat his mother. Then he died in the second battle saving Terry. This odd new kid pops up with the same powers and weapons. We don't know who he is, but he's literally identical to Ace." So Terry had seen him. He wonder what his friend thought.

Summer was silent as Shade spoke, looking down at her lap. At least he didn't mention...guilt churned inside of her. She pushed away the thoughts and looked up at Terra with a forced smile.

Terra looks at Summer who looks uncomfortable. She can tell from Shade's tone of voice that it was a touchy subject. "You guys were friends, right?" Her voice is softened now.

Shade paused for a moment, then nodded. "That's pretty much all we know." He looked up at her. "Everything Gaea or her soldiers say are just a lie."

Oh, boy. So this stuff was more personal than she had expected. It wasn't her bussiness. Count on her hothead personality to get into it. Terra felt a bit like an intruder. But her stubborness wasn't done yet.
"How do you know everything they say is a lie?" From that kid's eyes...their defiance...They meant what he had said with sheer honesty. And she herself found it easy to believe. These camps were done for. Besides, why did they defend the gods? They hadn't done anything for their own children!
Terra's fist clenched the sheet of the infimary bed angrily at the thought of her mother.

Shade blinked as her tone changed. He glanced at her clenched fist nervously. Oh no, like Ethan, she probably didn't like her parent very much. That could make her betray... "They always twist words, you can't listen to them, Terra."

Terra's voice rose a note in protest. "Well, he wasn't lying when he talked to me. He knew everything about me! My parents! My sister!" A lump forms in her throat at the memory of her little sister. She forces down the tears that are beginning to nearly form.
The worst part was, he seemed to know more about herself than she did. "Do you see any of the gods helping you all? They're just leaving all of you here to die! They don't frickin care!" By now, some of the other kids in the infimary were looking, but Terra is kind of too ticked to care for no reason. It was probably the fact that she had remembered her sister.

Shade is shocked at her sudden anger. She probably had a horrible past. He looks towards Summer for help. Her tone is so hateful that... He really doesn't know what to do. Or how to answer her words. It was true, the gods weren't giving a reason why they weren't helping them.
That reminded him of his father. For his own selfish reasons, he had erased his memory. Caused both of Terry's brothers to die. Shade really didn't know what to say. Was he staying here out of stubborness? No, it was because his friends were here. And what Gaea did was worse than the gods' mistakes. She did them on purpose, and enjoyed the destruction. He would never let someone like her gain power. But what reason should Terra not believe them..?

Summer looked up as Shade and Terra continued the conversation, listening carefully.
Terra's sudden change in mood surprised her. So she hated her parent too? Like Ethan...she almost flnched at the memory of him. She had trained him at the Wolf House when she was still one of Gaea's soldiers... But Summer understood how Terra felt, and she found that she couldn't blame her. That was what she had thought before she realized what she did. She had thought that the gods didn't care too. It was true that they weren't responding and weren't helping much for what was happening down here. But they probably had their own problems to deal with up at Olympus.
Finally, seeing Shade's look, Summer spoke up quietly, "The gods do care. They just have their own problems right now..."
