Alex was hanging out in her bed. She was doodling. She drew a picture of a trident. She also drew a sword. The very thing she lacked, a weapon. She had a shield, but not a sword. She wanted one, but didn't know where to get one. She kept on doodling.

(Romans are currently all in the Greek camp since the Roman camp has been taken by Gaea.)
Shade had a...problem. His powers were great and all. They were immense, in fact. But the problem was...he had trouble controlling them. So when he tried to shadow travel to the lake, he ended up in the Posiedon cabin. Don't ask how, it was a problem, yes, but it was just Shade.
Shade was one of those quiet shy types. So when he landed in the room and saw a girl, he thought about shadow traveling out, but he had to have a break first. So he would have to use the door...
He had never seen the camper before, so she had to be new. He wasn't sure what to say at first. Except for what seemed to be his favorite word. "Um..." Then his second. "Sorry."

After a morning of training, she was sweating and tired. She planned to swing by at the cabin that she was staying at here and change, before heading down to the mess hall. As she pushed open the Poseidon cabin door, she was surprised to see Shade and another girl laying on one of the beds. A new sister? Caroline smiled as she stepped in. "Hi..."

Well, it wasn't that bad now of a situation now. His accident made him happy as Caroline walked in. He stood up and scratched his head with a small and shy smile.
"Sorry, I accidently shadow-traveled in here...again."
He looked at Alex with a nod.
"I'm Shade, son of Pluto."

Caroline laughed softly. "I thought you could control your powers now?" she teased lightly.
Walking over to stand next to Shade, she examined the girl, then said, "I'm Caroline, Neptune. Are you Neptune or Poseidon?"

That made Shade wrinkle his nose.
"I thought so too. But I have to do that concentrating crap and stuff....Emmy can just snap her fingers and just be there. With precision."
He trailed off and muttered to himself.

She glanced over at him, smiling. "You'll get better. Emmy probably had more practice or something. Practice makes perfect!" Caroline sung happily, trying to be encouraging. "Soon, you'll be able to do that too!"

Shade just shrugged. He had practiced this far, he would continue. He was pretty sure he was getitng the hang of it. He hadn't had any control beforehand...

Shade nodded, taking in her name. Alex, so she was Caroline's half sister, being a Roman. Shade sat down in a chari nearby and looked at Caroline to see if she wanted to sit.
"Sure, what is it?"

So Alex was her half sister? Caroline smiled, glad to have a new sibling.
Caroline dragged a nearby chair over next to Shade's and sat down, facing Alex.

"Well, they have lots at the arena or the armory, but you could make your own at the metal shop, or get a Hephaestus kid to make one for you." That was how Caroline had gotten her sword.

Shade looked around nervously. It was bad to say names of the enemy so freely. But he agreed with this girl. Well, the titan was more than annoying to him. She was downright insanely evil.

Caroline nodded sadly, her green eyes flickering over to Shade for a moment. She knew it must have been the worst for him, since he actually had experience with Gaea.

Caroline smiled encouragingly. "It's alright. You'll learn how to fight here." Caroline remembered when she had first arrived at the roman camp. She had known nothing about the gods being real and had refused to believe anything until later. And she had gotten all her training from camp, except some reflex skills.
"I'm just glad you're against Gaea."
