(this is more of a joke than a real alternate timeline thing. Post in OOC if you want Krissie to kill your charrie. )
(This also shows how fragile Krissie's sanity is at the moment. Heh.)
(Oh, lyrics are to the song "I Will Not Bow" by Breaking Benjamin)
Fall! Now the dark begins to rise
She stared straight ahead. The moon was high up in the sky, and there was an insane glint in the daughter of Poseidon's eyes. Everything looked black to her.
Save your breath, it's far from over
It was an unnaturally cold night. She could see her own breath-no, wait, she couldn't. It was a dark haze. She smelled blood.
Leave the lost and dead behind
Memories...tangled up. She couldn't remember what came first. It didn't matter now, Crystal was dead and gone. Forever. Her lip curled into a sneer.
Now's your chance to run for cover
Did the camps really think they would win? They would die. They would all die, destroyed by Gaea. Traitors. Sure, people from the camps thought she was a traitor, but even though she truely was, she was smarter than them. She'd rather be a murderer than stupid.
I don't want to change the world, I just want to leave it colder
What would it be like when Gaea ruled? Much better. The gods didn't care. No one did. No one understood. She didn't care. Her eyes burned in hatred. No one would ever understand her. Ever.
Light the fuse and burn it up, take the path that leads to nowhere
That was exactly where the camps were heading. They'll lose the war. Not thinking straight, she let out a maniacal laugh.
All is lost again
She never thought about it. What would happen if Gaea won? Where would she be? Sure, having power was nice, but would she go out of her mind? Too late to think about it, she already was.
But I'm not giving in
No. No. She wouldn't think about it. So what if she lost her mind along the way? She didn't care. No one cared. And she liked it that way. But did she?
I will not bow, I will not break
She gritted her teeth until she felt like they were going to crack. The dark haze didn't fade. Red stained her vision. The dark and red swirled, the coloured mist fading in and out. The mist seemed to form imaginary demons, coming for her. Or were they angels?
I will shut the world away
She squeezed her eyes shut. Sticky tears trickled through her eyelids. Wait, why was she crying? The inside of her eyelids were red. Or was that just her imagination?
I will not fall, I will not fade
She refused to open her eyes to see the shapes. The figures. Why couldn't they just fade away? Or could she just die? No. When Gaea finally ruled, she wanted to be there. She thought.
I will take your breath away
She still saw red, but her eyes were closed. Her breath turned into short gasps, like she was trying desperately to breathe but couldn't.
Fall! Watch the end through dying eyes
Oh, when the camps fell she'd be there. If not earlier, just for the joy of watching them realize they wouldn't win. To see the light leave their eyes as she dealt the final blow.
Now the dark is taking over
She finally opened her eyes. The red was quickly fading out, being consumed by swirling blackness. What was happening to her?
Show me where forever dies, take the fall and run to heaven
No matter how hard she tried, all she could see was a haze of darkness. Crazed thoughts crept into her mind.
All is lost again, but I'm not giving in
She. Would. Not-what was that? A sound? She screamed in frustration, clutching her head. Her screech probably awoke everyone of Gaea's soldiers, but she didn't care. Stumbling around in an effort to see, she crashed into something, then jumped back just as quickly.
I will not bow, I will not break, I will shut the world away
She clenched her fists in anger. Annoyence. Terror. She still couldn't see. Definitely insane. Another crazed scream escaped her.
I will not fall, I will not fade, I will shut the world away
Deep breaths. Calm. No! She couldn't stand this. Nothing...she didn't know, but she'd already ran out of "Gaea's Territory", the area that most of Gaea's army stayed in.
And I'll survive, paranoid
The sounds...was someone chasing her? Terrified, she ran faster. Her eyes were closed. Leave me alone!
I have lost the will to change
There was nothing that could've been done to change her at this point. She was beyond help. She pulled out her sword and swung wildly, cutting down many trees and a few people and monsters along the way.
And I'm not proud, cold-blooded fate
Why did this always happen to her? First her mom...it was all the gods' fault. If it weren't for them, she wouldn't be like this now. It wasn't her fault. It was never her fault. The voice...
I will shut the world away
No...more...
Krissie opened her eyes. Instead of their usual stormy blue-green, they were pure black like the pits of Tartarus.
I'm coming for you... the crazed thought popped out of nowhere. That was it. She couldn't stand being like this anymore. Krissie was already at the camp's boundries. Everyone was asleep. The children of the gods...those who actually support those morons...they would die. Every single filthy one of them.
Starting with that traitor who Krissie once thought was her friend-Summer Anderson, daughter of Zeus.
(Hey, Emily! Permission to kill Summer? Please? *puppy dog face)
