"No way." Shade protested to Caroline. "There's no way she would believe that!" He knew it was probably the only way, to keep Krissie away, though.

I thought about it. I considered the outcomes and what ways it could work out . Best case senario, everything goes as Caroline plans, and we're able to get them out. Worst case senario, Caroline WAY underestimated her, she notices, we aren't able to get them out, and Krissie kills Caroline. Then, a problem crosses my mind. Uh oh. "How are we going to get them out if they are so weak that they can't walk?" I asked.

"Well, then there's no way we're going to do your plan!" Caroline shot back at Shade.
"We can take turns carrying them. Shade, if we made it to that point, would you be able to shadow travel them both back to camp?"

"Shade's right. It wouldn't work. Krissie would know something was going to happen. They most likely know we'll be coming for them." Willow eyed Caroline, slightly shaking her head, then turning it slowly to Shade, "I could take one of them if you get really tired, but I know you wouldn't want to admit it." She couldn't hold it-out came the smirk.

Shade looked at all of them. Seriously, he didn't understand girls, they were all driving him crazy. Shade sighed, rubbing his temples-he had a headache now. "It'll be hard, but I can take two. I'll be fine."

"And what if you're not fine afterwards?" Caroline's voice rose. "What if Gaea does something to your powers?" She didn't want to scare anyone, but she remembered how Gaea had increased Shade's control over his powers, then when he quit, his powers had been reduced.
"If we cause a distraction, won't they know something is up? Especially since they're holding prisoners from our side? I still think we would be better with no distraction, and just sneaking in," Caroline complained.

Willow shook her head, "With a distraction, even if they knew something was up, they would have to divide up their forces to at least see what was going on. if the thing out there was dangerous..." Willow chuckled.

"But the person who causes the distraction might get caught!" Caroline insisted, almost stomping her foot in frustration like in the movies. "I think we should all stick together."

"Well, how about no distraction until we feel like something is going to happen? Like a back up plan. Caroline and I can hide out in the forest. When you guys are sneaking in, and are about to be discovered, we can start a distraction. Their attention will be diverted for a moment, and Willow can shadow travel them back. I can shadow travel Caroline back." Shade suggested quietly.

I thought about his plan. It sounded pretty good. Except for one thing. "If you guys are deep enough into the forest, then how are you going to see us? That seems like the only flaw in the plan. If we can get it so we have a signal or something, it sounds like it would work."

Shade grinned slyly at her question. "Remember these?" He held up his watch that Terry and Jacob had designed. "You guys press the button, our watched will ring."

Willow chuckled, "Rachel wears it. She knows when we're in danger." She streched, making it look like she was relaxed.

"Alright. That sounds like it could work," Caroline admitted. Then asked, "Rachel, in the iris message, did you see how they were being held? What if they were in a cage, and it required a key?"

Shade unwrapped the watch from his wrist and held it out to Rachel. "This button on the side will make a loud alarm sound on Caroline's watch." Shade told her, showing her the button.

Willow stared at the button as Shade handed it to Rachel, then look over at Caroline, "What if they were being guarded by Gaea herself? She knows she can get two birds with one stone." Unless she's dumb.

Shade fidgeted. "They're almost dead from what Rachel said. If we spend time worrying, we won't get anywhere. Besides, I don't think she'll guard two almost dead demgods that well. If that iris message was real, they don't even know that we're coming."

I turned my attention to Caroline and Willow for a moment. "Well, she might be guarding it, and she might have a key, but I wouldn't think so. How could they send the Iris Message if she was guarding them? Why have a key that anyone who betrays her can steal? Wouldn't it be easier for the doors to just not have locks? She has them weakened, disarmed, and is probobly using them as an example to what happens when someone betrays her. She thinks none of us would risk it to go rescue them. She just assumes that we will just betray them."

Caroline sighed, giving in to their reasoning. "I guess so." Caroline looked up at each one of them in turn. Her eyes shone with determination, as well as a bit of fear. "Shall we go then?"

Shade shoved his hands in his pockets nervously. His hazel eyes were darting around. "Yeah, let's hurry."
