(To explain the title, de Arimasu is a Japanese extra some people have a habit of adding on. To the end of their sentence. Its pretty much making the sentence more formal and polite.)
Atsuko Izumi walked into camp, feeling a bit lost. Her father had sent her here after telling her about her background and sent her to school at a dojo. Monsters had no trouble following her, so her father consulted Nike. She was told to come here. Izumi was quiet and a polite. She was shy over all. She was afraid to talk to anyone or ask for directions. They would hear her accent. That's why she gave herself and English nickname. Jade. She looked around, givng up on her hopelessness, and spoke up. Her voice was soft and quiet.
"Um, excuse me. May someone tell me where the minor gods' cabins are?"
She asked it to no one in particular, just someone...

Katie was trying to make it a habit to run around camp randomly like Summer, but greeting everyone got a little hard so she stuck to new campers. Katie noticed a young girl, eleven or twelve, ask where the minor gods' cabin was. Well, techincally it was labeled 'Other Gods' as to not offend anyone but Katie smiled and answered her question. "It's the one to the left of the worn down one," she said, pointing to the Other Gods Cabin next to the Undecided Cabin.

Jade bowed quickly to Katie. She grabbed her suitcase shyly, unsure of what to say. She went into the cabin and looked around for other kids like her.

Ally was lying on her bunk, reading a book, petting Witch-her shapeshifting griffin currently in the shape of a small komodo dragon-on her head, and listening to her iPod. She looked up when Atsuko walked in and smiled, pulling the earphones out. "Hey," she greeted her. "I'm Ally, daughter of Hecate. You?"

She turned around after feeling very very lost. She caught the girl talking to her. To her. The new girl. For a while, she didn't know what to say. She spoke up finally, overcoming her shyness.
"H-hi. Um ah....my name is Atsuko Izumi, De Arimasu. Please call me Jade, De Arimasu."
Her voice was quiet and gentle. It was curled with a Japanese accent. She bowed quickly. She stopped herself. She probably sounded weird. She bit her lip.

Ally sighed, turned, and called to the door, "Come in!" Then she turned backt Jade. "Hey Jade, I'm Ally," she said, taking no notice of the eleven year old's accent.

She looked to see another kid walk in. She said nothing and chose a bed that was empty in the corner. She blinked at Ally's voice.
"It is nice to meet you, De Arimasu. I'm the daughter of Nike, De Arimasu."

She turned around to see another girl. Izumi nodded to her in greetings and hurried to the corner to put her stuff away. She set the suitcase on her new bed. She could hear the urgent tone of the other half blood's voice. She had known her history since she was little. She didnt know what it was like to be unclaimed. It must be a horrible feeling.

(A bed? lol jk. His attributes included either a horn of sleep-inducing opium, a poppy-stem, a branch dripping water from the river Lethe (Forgetfulness), or an inverted torch. Got it fromm a site.)
Jade finished organizing her stuff into her spot. She flopped into her bed. It was comfortable.

Suddenly, I felt something change. There was something in the air. Above my head. I looked up hesitantly, then my eyes widened in surprise. There, above me, was the symbol of Hypnos. "Well, that explains my powers." I noted, then realized how corny that sounded right then.

She nodded slowly, gazing at the glowing symbol. She had never seen someone get claimed before. Not even herself. She had known since the beginning she was the daughter of Nike. She had no need to be claimed.

She turned around, her small figure suddenly feeling even smaller as the tall cheery girl entered. She managed a smile, bowing in introduction. "I'm Atsuko Izumi, daughter of Nike, De Arimasu. Please call me Jade, De Arimasu."
Her Japanese accent was evident, and she hated it. But she couldn't help it. She wished she was like this girl. Confident, tall, relaxed. Izumi sat down on her small bed. She had chosen it according to size. And she seemed to be the youngest here.
